And while on the topic. Doe's anyone who did not get a pre-order key from GameStop and got set-up manually by Andy/a1k0n lost their Alpha tag? I lost mine :(

Looks like they've started shipping it (at least according to their site). I'll go check if mine's shipped yet...

I just called our higher-up at GameStop, and he confirms that they have 1800 copies in stock. (which I independently confirmed with SF and Take 2). He has no idea why people would be seeing "back-ordered" status. He also says a new set of keys should be going out today.

Is anyone who pre-ordered actually unable to play? If you haven't received keys by tonight, send me an email (john at guildsoftware dot com) and we'll see about temporarily fixing your accounts.

I got the pre-order key! Finally!!! But what do I do now? Should I apply it even though a1k0n already changed my account to pre-order for me?

lucky buggers, I could not pre-order(shipping was too much) but I went to my local EB games and reserved a copy which was supposed to be in yesterday. Apparantly they don't have any copies yet and have no idea when they will be recieving any. Sounds like EB games and Gamestop are run by the same morons or something heh.

Durgia sits patiently waiting for his box to get to the EB Games store.

On a side note, its probably hard to sell VO when nobody has it in stores! I mean people that already know of it can buy it off the site and request them etc, but to introduce it to a new audience it sort of needs to be on the shelves.

Well, at least mine's leaving Texas now. I paid for quicker shipping and it STILL won't be here till Wednesday, which is POOP! Remind me never to shop at Gamestop again.

So far I have not really had any problems with the pre-order process through GameStop. I ordered 10/21 and got an email confirmation of my order right away. I got an email from them on 10/26 which contained my pre-order key. And as of today I received an email stating my boxed copy was shipped on 11/05. I used the slowest shipping option (USPS) so it will be a week or two before I get the box, and I cannot track it in the mean time.

I did have the same problem with my account that a few others have pointed out. After the reset last weekend I have lost my Alpha Badge, but I still have my Beta Badge. Can one of the Devs put this back in my account? That would rock! :)

Hah... I ordered from Gamestop on the 17th of October, received my Pre-Order key on the 26th, and there's no sign that my box has even been shipped. If I don't hear anything by the end of the week, GameStop is going to be receiving emails from me.
