GameStop still seems to be taking their time to send out keys to some pre-ordering customers. They have had the keys for some months, and were supposed to send out keys immediately to any person who pre-ordered the game, but are seemingly unable to do this. If anyone has pre-ordered and not yet received a key, we recommend calling them at 1-800-883-8895, giving them your order number, and informing them of the issue. We are working with Strategy First to try and get GameStop to resolve this problem, and have been for many weeks with limited success.

I called yesterday and after being 103 minutes on hold (thanks god for the inventor of speaker phones) I was promised the keys would be mailed yesterday night. Well, nothing happen (as expected). I will call them again and give them the simple option to give me the key or give me my money back. John, just put up a website where we can plug in a credit card number to get the game as download directly from you. Thats more money in your pocket, and less trouble for us. Gamestop seems to be totally out of control.

ok, back on topic, i got my key the other day, thought it was a vendetta thing (Soon™ and what have you...) but did not get it for a whole two weeks (maybe three...) Hmmmmmmm..... How long have some of you waited? AND am i going to be slapped with some stoopid shipping tax (i live in the UK).... ???? I dont mind paying it, for the box if nothing else (i own the vendetta box, kool....hehe even though i dont have it, please can i have it Soon™ I reeeeeealy hope some of you who cant come back now do soon also........lol) but id rather give it to guild.....

The rep said he would forward my email address to his supervisor, but when I asked to speak to the supervisor on the phone I was told she's in a meeting.
I asked when the meeting would be over and fully intend to call back.
I find it funny at this point that my original email I sent before bothering to actually call them has still received no response.

I just got off the phone too. This guy was totaly aware of what was going on. Nice job strategy first and guild, seems like the WHOLE damn company knows! Heh! The guy said i should be getting it tomarrow or sunday! It was so nice when he knew immdeitly what i was talking about. If I don't recive it by tomarrow in the late after noon i'm going to call.
(P.S to the devs, are you guys going to hold off on deleteing the accounts if this whole key thing doesn't get resolved, that way we can still keep our beta test icons?_

For anyone who has not yet received a key, I've posted a contact on our News page who should be helpful.
We will not be deleting anyone's accounts. People without pre-order keys or other account activation will be locked out of the game, but their accounts will still be there.
We should also have direct account purchases online by tonight.

I got my key, and at first it wouldn't work.
Then, when I typed it character for character exacly the way FireFox suggested it in the drop down it worked...
So, Linux, FireFox 0.9.3, "Invalid key"?

I tried John's suggestion to e-mail "Valerie Vaughn" and got a reply that said
the game release date had been changed from Nov 8 to Nov 3 but no key.
Today called the "800" number and talked to someone that was totally clueless.
He said that he would refer the issue to his supervisor. Some help.

I tried John's suggestion to e-mail "Valerie Vaughn" and got a reply that said
the game release date had been changed from Nov 8 to Nov 3 but no key.

I bit the bullet and thought I've leeched this game for 1.5 years now, so I owe it to the devs to help them out, even if I have to pay double. So, I pre-ordered on Friday (my time zone, so prolly early thursday morning US time) and got my key about 24 hours later. Can't wait for the box to arrive!
I did have an issue entering the key on the site. But I think this was more relate to server being down than enything else. Half an hour later, it worked!

Ratt man I feel you're pain! I ordered on the 28th, had some issues with my fathers e-mail address changed it to mine, got the confermation e-mail.....still no pre order key. I've called several times and the last time the guy knew what I was talking about!(looks like the people at strategy first and guild are making quite a stur at gamestop! 0_0 )E-mailed that lady, got the e-mail about the date being changed....no key....also no response(to my post on this board) on weather or not that date change means the pre orders or the retail release!

Nobody's getting reset anymore.
We decided to reset everyone once and for all last night due in part to the GameStop pre-order key fiasco.
Honestly, though, there is no excuse for this to be taking so long. I know GameStop is busy and this key scheme may be slightly unusual for them so I'm willing to cut them some slack (hey, they're selling OUR GAME. IN STORES. we're four guys in a 400 square foot room. that's kinda cool.). However, I'm not going to let you go without keys.
[By the way, a couple people have reportedly found their pre-order keys in their junk mail folders.. so please check there. Sorry for the obvious interlude.]
If you forward me your GameStop order confirmation email and user id (to andy@guildsoftware.com), I will provide your account with pre-order status, and you can enter your key at any time. I'll check up to make sure you got your key in a couple weeks. Please use the subject "GameStop pre-order key not received" so I don't miss your email.
Edit: When I fix your account, your billing info will still say you are not paid; don't worry, the game server will see you as having two months of time, even if the billing database doesn't agree.
