hey, I don't have my key! I pre-orded, so when do you think I will get it? if you want, I can even tell you the conferming number so you can see that I did buy it. but please, tell me why? my mom clams that she got a email telling her to buy Vendetta after she order it.

I want to play as soon as it comes out....:D

I pre-ordered and was disturbed to discover today that a bunch of people got their pre-order keys yesterday, while I didn't. I received the order confirmation email a few weeks ago, so I knew that GameStop had a valid email address for me.

Per the email confirmation:

Customer service is available 8 a.m.- 8 p.m Monday through Friday and 8
a.m.- 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

I confirmed on their web site that the pre-order keys should ship about 1 week before the Nov 1 release, then called the 800 number.

The person I spoke with listened carefully and, after some investigation, told me that there was a problem sending to my email address. (Why, who knows?) I told her that I had received the order confirmation by email, so she double-checked my email address, then resent the pre-order key. I got it a few minutes later.

WOOT!

Summary: If you pre-ordered but didn't get the pre-order key in your email yet, call GameStop and you should have it in about 10 minutes.

I don't have mine either. I am not using a spam filter and my email address works for sure.

Before we all have to call gamestop, maybe Incarnate could talk to them. With this kind of customer service, this was the first and last time I used that place.

Same here ..... no key .... yet.

Wrote an e-mail to Gamestop this morning (with my order confirmation attached). Ordered on 10/12/04.

No answer yet ???

Just got off the phone with GameStop
and after i informed them that they did indeed have the keys they said they would be sending out emails today.

I have a feeling I'll be calling back tomorrow.

Yea, gamestop is making me mad! I never even got a confermation e-mail for my order! But my dad called them and gave them the order number you get on the page after you order and they said it was in their system! My dad sent an e-mail awhile back and they said their system was going through changes or something. Sent an e-mail 2 days ago and still didn't get a response....these people frustrate me!

Alright, i've called and they where very polite! They have changed the e-mail address from my fathers to mine. She sent me a test e-mail and it worked! She said the confermation e-mail would be coming soon. Then hopefully the pre-order soon enough.

[edit]I got the confemation e-mail! Now just to wait for the key!

It seems he and Strategy First have been yelling at gamestop for a while now.

It's NOT GuildSoftware's fault.

I'm going to send angry emails to GameStop until they send me a key, and I suggest you all do the same.
If it turns out to be less work to send out the keys than to handle the complaints maybe they'll just get their act together.

But dudes and dudettes... Remember that the person recieveing the email will be part of the solution, not the problem.

These poor people at game stop! Don't be too rough on them, most of them don't even know what's going on. I think this problem is higher up. If the person you are talking to doesn't know about the pre-order keys i would recamend to ask to speak to a supervisor. Try not to sound so mad as it may make the poor person think they are going to get into trouble. And DONT't for Gods sake DON'T yell at the supervisor, if you piss him off, kiss your chances goodbye!

[Edit]: No mini, I don't even have a job! I'm only 16...but I do know about social things and how NOT to get what you want. What is above could be considered slight social engnering.(sorry for the spelling)

Argh!
I just got off the phone with GameStop, and they are stating that the keys will be shipped one week preceeding the game launch. When I stated that the launch is supposed to be Nov. 1st, they claimed that the launch date has been pushed back to Nov. 8th? If so, this is news to me (and everyone else as well, I presume?)
