The guild is forming up rather quickly. I think we're at some 50-odd as of now. The name is nice and simple, just 'Earth and Beyond'. A few tips:
1) Just wait out the loading screens. It can take a few minutes for the home sectors due to extreme congestion, but it WILL load, and you can chat while you wait (thank goodness).
2) Lag is infinitely better than in EnB. You don't jerk around, and you stay on the course you set in the client. The only way I've been able to see lag was when other players started to abruptly jump around- I never budged an inch off course.
3) Chatting is different. There are keys for each chat, and they often overlap. 't' for sector, 'T' for channel, 'g' for group, and 'G' for guild. This is ONLY the case in outside of station chat- inside a station, you have to click on the chat window to open the typing line, then use the buttons below to set which chat gets the line.
4) Most 'social' commands are of the /<command> <target> <data> sort. These are very common, ranging from chatting to guild function to grouping. It's a little clunky at first, but with the bit of info above on sending to chat you should know enough to be able to ask questions where people'll hear them :P
5) You can run the game in windowed mode, and unlike EnB, it's quite happy to let you use other programs (such as your favorite browser) with minimal fussing over your mouse cursor. Great for refrencing info sources outside the game, such as this forum ;)
6) Watch your keystrokes. I've already managed to accidently quit the program simply by trying to chat while no chat was active. At most it seems to be an annoyance, as I've only accidently accessed the exit menu inside stations, where it's perfectly safe.
7) There are FOUR lights.
