IRS reporting in.
Origin: Pegasus
Occupation: Reporter, Public Raid Organizer, Professional Annoyance

Some of you may recognize me (I see a few names that are familiar). To these people, I will ask you to kindly not vaporize me then do barrel rolls through my ionized plasma remains- I'll get stuck in your gas intakes and reduce your energy efficiency.

In commeration of the influx, I've written up a little something for everyone coming over from EnB:

'Tada-O Gate Offensive Goes Horribly Wrong'

LOCATION UNKNOWN- Recent events have caused a catalysmic occurance. During a normal Tada-O gate raid, the initial waves were duly beaten back and the allied forces assembled to assualt the Ti's home space. With the assistance of an elite Bogeril scientest, the transit mechanism was activated, and everything propmtly, to quote the general consensus, "went to frickin' hell!"

The first sign that something was amiss was when the expected transit time passed and the ships failed to materialize in the Ti sector. The second sign that something was amiss was the fact that other ships were detectable on scanners, and that communications could be established- both of which are considered impossible to do while in a gate transition. The overall mood was one of curiousity at first, then someone attempted to apply thrust.

What happened next is still unknown. From this reporter's viewpoint, space itself appeared to 'fracture'. An analogy with a mirror breaking is the closest event that could describe what was witnessed, but whatever it was, afterward the allied forces found themselves both depleted and boosted in number. Depleted, because a great many simply vanished, their ship transponders abruptly cut off. At the same time, and indeed in many of the exact same locations occupied by the recently-departed, unknown ships appeared. Again, the wording is difficult, for while the new arrivals did not have a registry on file anywhere in the EarthCorp Central Records (ECR, managed by Corperal Minsk), they were all of recognized ship designs, and the sub-carrier encryption ID checksums were valid.

Initial reactions were varied. The 'Terran' vessels began to argue about rank precedence, ID validity, and established raid procedures. There was a simultainious utterance of "Fascinating..." among the Jenquai, while the Progen all locked onto the nearest unknown target and initiated the time-honored ritual of blowing up anything that didn't make sense. As the rank arguments, philosophic discussion, and target destruction went on, it became clear that there were fragments of four different raiding fleets present. Oddly, each fleet fragment claimed no knowledge of any of the members of any other fleet fragement, yet nearly all other aspects of the compared information were identicle.

A group of the best Jenquai theorists present purported that given the readings they had recorded, space itself had undergone a 'phase shift', something widely regarded as impossible. Most of the explaination ended up inducing a headache, but from what I've gathered there are a few certainties:

1) They estimate that at least four, possibly five different universes suffered a simultainous phase shift.

2) Four of the universes were reasonably similar, differing only in the individuals present while following identical major events.

3) Due to an irregularity in the quanta states between the universes, they estimate that two were collapsed into single hypermassive black holes, two were subject to extreme entropy dilations, and the present one is actually little more than a 'bubble' of existance that will soon decay into yet another universe.

The third conclusion is very disturbing, to say the least. If correct, we have no home to return to. Furthermore, whatever universe we 'decay' into via another phase shift is unlikely to share the quantum laws that enable a great deal of our technology to operate. Thanks to the efforts of ship pilots with Bogeril connections, we have jury-rigged devices that should operate under standard physical laws to replace all essential ship systems. When the decay is complete, all ships should be able to move to the nearest habitable region- assuming we emerge reasonably close to a star.

In the non-technical areas, mental and emotional shock have set in for many. This is why I am continuing in my reporting, even though the likelyhood of this article being paid for by Net-7 is virtually nonexistant. The continuation of familiar activities should do much to assuage the dramatic change that has occured. With remarkable speed, an unlikely compromise has been reached between all remaining Terran, Progen, and Jenquai to band together and present a unified front to whatever we may encounter, friendly or hostile. Should things go well, we will have ample time to mourn our loss and celebrate our continued existance.

But for now, we must prepare. Hardship is almost a certainty, and some may not be able to adapt to a new life. I am looking foreward to a new chance to build a future. I have my mind, my ship, about 200 credits in my pocket, and a newly-clear credit history. I intend to make a trading empire- I urge you to be as ambitious. For it is imperative that we do not give up, that we strive onward! In the great spirit that has propelled mankind from a tenative place in the savannah to a great collective, we are able to walk astride the Earth... and Beyond. Never forget this.

Long Range Communication From Starfoxer TE 150++
Origin: Pegasus
To: IRS
Occupation: Terran Enforcer, Jenqua and PW when the mood dictates, Guild Leader Wolfpack Xtreme, Furball extrodinare.

Recieved your report of the incidents at the raid, my observations in this new "Universe" is that several guilds to one degree or another have survived, including Wolfpack, Star Reality, Omnes Ad Unum, Immortal conspiricy and a few others. The refguges whose guilds didnt survive can find a home with a new guild forming here called "Earth and Beyound", last I heard suricata was taking in surviors from our old universe so as to help thier transition here.
Only draw back to his new universe is there are NO chickens and da fox is hungry.

Flying Furball out:
