You're a bit behind on the "in progress" document, too... :P

That is only a good sign - they spend so much time for actual game development that there's no left for webpage updates. :)

One thing I've noticed in 3.5.6 is lower frequency of ion storms. Before, I used to hit one or two storms during every trade run, but now I have barely hit one, after playing for hour or so.

I'm seeing about the same ratio of storms. I'll hit at least one in every other sector I fly through.

hm, logged on, jumped to a sector, ion stormed, got jumped by a group of bots, got killed, no moneys left.

yeah, if anything the storm frequency has *increased*. I hit two in a row just trying to get from one side of latos to the other.

ion storms? i am saying it again: do not fly over the center of the map!

and now get back on topic and spot some REAL changes ;)

hm. gauss mk2 are available in pyronis to me now, they weren't 2 weeks ago (before i broke my leg, which precluded me from gaming).

ion storms are about as frequent as before, dependent on your route.

the pirate bots seem to have been shifted around, but i might be wrong about this (where's the a3-mothership sector in deneb? devs?)

plus, the bots no longer have that attack inhibitor (usually, only one bot attacked you at a time, if you were carefully. now they swarm you).

Storms have increased. Flying over any bot zone will as likely as not land you in a storm. Even avoiding the obvious bot zones is no guarantee of circumventing all storms. I have managed to hit one in a seemingly empty zone (according to the map). Some of those supposedly empty sectors have both bots and roids.

The storm frequency is the same as it was before. The distribution is not, because empty sectors no longer have storms. (Arguably the overall density is exactly the same.)
