1337 = leet, very cool, amazing, cool, good etc (really, some people don't know what 1337 is o.O)

1337 = Nothing, Nada, Non existent. Never has meant anything, never will mean anything.

Wingbug: A flaw in the vulture's design in which the slightest tap on a specific part of the wing causes the ship to spin out of control and issue.
Occurs in all ships, but predominantly on the vulture due to its large wingspan.

You can blame dying on the "WingBug" the same way people call "lag" in most FPS's.

Bump. A bump is a forum message posted for the purpose of bringing a thread back up to the top of the list, so as to gain more visibility.

rp = Role Playing: when a player acts as a character in the game. Players can earn respect if done well, but over-doing it is just annoying.

VO = Vendetta Online: The game we all know and love.

Space Quake: How VO is referred to at times due to its FPS style of movement and combat. Not all people agree with this description.

MMOG/MMORPG = Massive Multi(player) Online (Role Playing) Game

Vet = Veteran: Player who has been playing for a long time, especially since the alpha testing phase.

CTF = Capture the Flag: Long gone feature of the game. Some vets still pine for it.

danielky, looks pretty good to me.

Let me take a whack at it:

Dear ForumModerator,

Some of us in this forum feel this thread is of particular usefulness to all users, but especially new users (aka: newbies).

If you would be so kind as to "pin" this thread to the top of this forum, we would be ever so grateful to you.

In closing, if you can add anything of substance to this subject, that would be smashing. As everyone knows, you have been a valuable part of this community and must be very knowledgible in these affairs.

Deeply yours,
danielky, Wubby and Co.

This thread is 50 posts long and somewhat off-topic. I'd prefer to let Sarahanne reformat it and post it into her FAQ. I'm also concerned about having too many pinned threads.

j/m or jm - "Just a Minute" used when someone's in combat and cannot spare the time to write a coherant message.

roid warping - warping into a system and promptly smashing into an asteroid

NPC - Non-Player Character (correct me if I've got this wrong). Otherwise known as "bots"

botting - term used for attacking large numbers of bots to gain experience.

suicide bots - term for Aerna Seekers (?) whose primary mode of attack is to self destruct near the target.
