Sending them $20 now might keep their company going for another month. Saying "I will pay $10 a month until it's done" means that you will support the game until its done. There's a difference.

I'd pay... but unfortunately the connection I have at school is so incredibly laggy that I'm hardly ever able to play.

I'd still pay though - the game's that damn good.

i've spent the last 5 minutes attempting to preach the good word that is Vendetta and Guild to my mom... she doesn't want to make a pay-pal account... but i'll win sooner or later... hopefully sooner

All of you who have said I'll pay xxx amount a month if it comes to it, should just do that, start now. Pay it in now and support these guys.

i would pay 4 sure!!! this is definately one of the best games i have played in a very long time, get something set up so we can start paying monthly and keep vendetta alive!!!!!!

I'd definately pay too. The only issue for vendetta would be setting up credit card processors..

This usually takes a couple of months, and they're generally sketchy. Most US based processors that will accept transactions over the internet in my experience don't accept anything other than a US card.

On top of this, they'll usually take a cut, upwards of 10%. Then there's the 10-20% rolling reserve for chargebacks which they won't see for 6 months.

How about a signing fee, say $10 - $20, this would help the cashflow for the devs in the short term wouldnt it? and then a monthly fee after that, say $5 - $10

And the credit card thing, perhaps we should pay by cheque until that is sorted out and ready to use, overseas customers would probably have to pay annually mind due to potential bank charges against each foreign cheque

But with all do respect, do you think that you can get 100 people to pay for this game monthly before the devs run out of cash?

the best oprotunity for a start is to do get the publishers to read this threads and mabye they will make them see what the players of the game think of it!

you need a very big amount of ppl who will pay monthly for this game if you want the devs to survive...if you get 20 ppl paying 10$ each let's say, do you think it will keep all of them and their families for a hole month?!

the donates we can give the devs can only tell them how much players love the game, but not realy suport them, unless all the players of vendetta pay for it.

Which is the point. I made this thread so that the devs would take into consideration when they "met to decide the future of Guild" on monday. If money is the only issue, and we can get enough people willing to pay $10 a month, we might be able to keep Guild and Vendetta going. Maybe not at the same pace as before, but enough that the game won't die and disappear.

I specifically said "monthly" because we all know this game isn't going to be totally done any time soon. If it needs support for another two years, donating $20 once is not going to do anything. I should have made it clear that this should be an officially sanctioned Vendetta test thing and not an informal donate every month thing so that the devs could keep track of their income. As well as who donated.

It doesn't even need that much upkeep.. hell it could even be community run with a top ten donater list or something. Just so that everything is organized and logged, and so the devs KNOW that they have 50 people on the list, or whatever it turns out to be.

Also I'm not quite sure if I could really pay a monthly fee (credit card), and anual sounds so... 10 * 12 = 120 $ I'm not quite sure I can convince my parents to give me that :S <-- /me needs job me thinks
