Pyro- NPC Def bots have a habit of issuing in the home sectors.

yeah, I made 42k in about 20 minutes of the def bots in sc1...

Ahdinh, did you notice the fact that I said it would take me about 5 or 10 HOURS to get that valk? And yes, I tried taking on the bounty 150 bots (yeah, the ones you refused to take), like you had suggested. I killed one, then got shot from behind by another. I lost all my cargo, and the gauss cannon that had taken me about half an hour to save up for. And Spellcast, getting 25k would still take me about two and a half hours to make. Ahdinh, why the hell couldn't you just go to another sector? There are higher bounty bots, where you would raise your score just as quickly, if not faster. Or were you too scared, and wanted to raise your score so you could look like a big man, while never taking a risk? It's people like you, who have no respect for newbies, who make me consider switching to Serco or NT.

P.S. electric, I didn't want to do that, because it's technically an exploit. I was eventually forced to do it, though...

I mean, it took me less than an hour to get 300k. And further more, I think you are too lazy to "accaully" try to get money. I mean you collect cargo, get some money, buy a better engine and batt, then get more cargo and sell it. You dont have to do anything in a standard bus ya know. Also its not really hard to get a gauss, they are only 2200c's and all you need to do is take like 1 maybe 2 cargo collections to get a gauss, instead of your "way" of making money that takes 30 mins to save up.

Also I love killing thos 75 bots because they are fun. And If you think that I want to raise my score because i want to look like a big man then you are seriously wrong.

a n00b does not WANT to collect cargo! S/He wants to fight! Hoarding all the low level NPCs is usually a high crime in A LOT of MMORPGs, something a guide or GM can take action on if the person does not stop if asked politely.

If you like botting that much, I would seriously recommend switching to Serco.

A) they currently have the lowest population; less likely for the home sector to be crowded.

B) They have the most bots (15) of any nation in their home sector.

The reason ahdin is constantly killing the 75 bots, in case you are wondering, is because they are easier to kill without dieing than the tougher ones, and he is less likely loose his 10k bounty.

you should tell that to Pyro, Phaserlight. Plus I think this thread SHOULD be locked because i dont think that ppl need to see why this person complains on not killing enough bots and why hes not trading.

Exactly Genka. Also I dont want to loose my bounty going to s11 and getting killed by ppl in their Tri-Flare Valks, or Mauds, especially from Icarus. Although i do tend to leave s4 every now and then

Sooo... What you're saying is you won't let n00bs, who CAN'T fight back if they get attacked, use sector 4, because you don't WANT to get attacked... Makes perfect sense to me... Wait, no it doesn't! There's a reason the DEF Bots are in sector 4. It's meant to be used by n00bs. You know, people who lack combat skills or don't have a decent ship? And if ahdinh likes botting that much, why doesn't HE switch to Serco? I never said I was a huge fan of botting, but I need to do it for a little to get some initial cash for trading. What am I going to do, trade widgets between 1 and 4? You get about 15 creds profit per widget like that. Trading between sectors 4 and 7 requires a bit of start of cash, which (suprise!) you need to bot to make. And ahdinh, what good is having a big bounty? Is it like a trophy, showing "whee, look at me! I have hours of free time to bot every day!"? Maybe if it had been gained killing decent players, it would be impressive, but all it shows me is that you have way too much free time on your hands. Also, Phaserlight, this thread is very relevant. What do you think is going to happen when this game goes gold, and there are a hell of a lot more players? There will be a ton more people like ahdinh, who will make it impossible for n00bs to get started. I don't know about you, but I LIKE n00bs (as long as they aren't the AOLer type). If you drive away all the n00bs, Vendetta will get the same reputation as all of the other massive MMOs, which aren't very receptive to n00bs at all. If features to allow only n00bs into certain sectors are hard-coded, then this won't be anywhere near as much of a problem.

I guess that's a disadvantage to being in the most populated nation, teehee. I also had teammates swoop in with vultures and warthogs try to take the cargo of bots I killed with my bus. But I let 'em know about it and they'd usually be generous enough to back away or drop the cargo they stole.

You may also want to follow ships that can't hold much cargo around. They usually kill more than they can grab, so you're always free to follow behind them to pick up the crumbs. I got a pretty good profit following some guy in a marauder that was killing the 150 bots.

Anyway... yeah, don't know what else can be said about this topic. I doubt adding another newbie sector or whatever would really be a solution. I guess s4 and s6 could be more like s12 by being bigger and having more bots.

pyro, if so many people are killing bots in 4 there is bound to be a lot of cargo left over, make money by picking up the cargo and selling it unti lyou can afford a better ship. This is more profitable than killing bots for their bounty anyway.
