So I totally lost it today when 2 of my best buds got on their bad guy alts and ravaged my dent with my 2nd or 3rd most hated enemy. As you've seen over the last 30ish times my dent has boomed, I'm usually fairly chill. Lol...not sure what the difference was this time, other than the buddies doing it with an arch nemesis perhaps? Anyway, got pissed enough to step back and see my VOdicction in a whole new light. I could babble on with excuses and justifications, but it boils down to me being too emotionally attached to a super awesome game. I said some pretty dumb things too.

Currently I'm playing Thaumcraft, which is a Minecraft mod that adds a pretty well developed magic system.

I also highly recommend Magic Carpet by Bullfrog, if you can find somewhere to get it from. It's old, but very fun. Works fine in dosbox.

Westie for what it's worth I think your passion and dedication are really wasted here. If you do take an extended hiatus (and I'm really not convinced that you will..er.. sorry about that) I hope you find something better to channel it through.

I know exactly how hard it is to have passion, dedication and commitment but nowhere to apply it to, and I also know exactly what it's like to find a solace for that in VO. In late 2012 I felt the same way and through a concerted effort I found other things to focus my energy into. If you don't try it mate you'll never know.

I really don't agree that Niki and Estrian did anything especially excessive. We've all played this game an awful lot there's nothing that any of us can do to each other in the space of a month let alone a few hours that could possibly event put a small dent in the digital empires that we've each created. It's all fair game no matter what side we fight on today or tomorrow and you know that.

You definitely overreacted mate and it's really big of you to acknowledge that here and to apologise to Niki. It speaks a lot to your character and I salute you through my cork hat.

I also miss DSO, he was very dedicated to what he wanted to achieve here too but I know he's off in frog-land channelling that into amazing things. If you do leave I hope you do too.

Biking is great. :) Picking up a new sport is a great way to refocus your VOdiction.

Bikes cost money. Pick up Judo, BJJ, or Muay Thai. Choking people, throwing people, and getting punched in the face is therapeutic.
