Yup, I'm familiar with those, didn't want to push us off-topic, just was looking for a quick response from Touriaus. The Valk-balance debate is best left to the Suggestions forum.
For now, I'm focused on low-level mechanics like self-defense, strike forces and borders, because from a development standpoint that's a lot more difficult to do than adjusting numbers for item availability. There are also some cross-linked issues that are easier to resolve when one set of mechanics are known to be working.
Anyway, moving along..

the whole computing space (mobile or otherwise) is converging rather quickly
This is very true.
As a long-term subscriber, it boggles my mind that anyone would perceive the fact VO is available cross-platform as a detriment to the game, when the PC / mobile crossover enhances the experience so perfectly (from my perspective). VO is about the only game I can think of that lives up to the term "device-agnostic" in all depth, let alone MMORPG.
As a recent MBA graduate, the jump to mobile in 2011 is one of the smartest business moves I've ever watched a small company make. This type of forward-thinking (agility) will pay off big time for VO in the long run.

Shut the fuck up already, phascistlight
That's a little bit too tragic there for my taste, aye.
Phaser is correct about the agility of Guild and VOs survival, despite being in an unpopular genre over the last several years.
Touriaus, you haven't been around in awhile, but we're aiming for different standards of conduct on the forums these days. You're welcome to disagree with me and my choices; but at least be civil.. or be elsewhere.
I think this thread has probably been wrapped up as far as useful content goes.
