I read them. always.
You didn't even notice the lines concerning "Immortal Soul" and "Firstborn Child" and "Eternal Servitude"?
Edit: Oh yeah, and Guild has what's possibly the shortest EULA I've ever seen. Have you even tried to read Microsoft's?

LOL @ ctishman
10 pages? Ummm... When I go to print, it says 2... Besides, nobody reads EULAs anyway... :P
I seriously doubt they're legally binding...so I don't read them.
Some court cases have backed me up...so far.

They *ARE* legally binding, and although Guild may not enforce them now, they probably will later on. If they ever have something against you, and they find out that you've violated the ToA, they might prosecute.
Easy answer: Abide by the ToA, live life simply.

Now if only griefing was included in the EULA as a violation. Muwhaha!
Haha, they should put that in there in 2pt. type...
They ought to put in a clause that gives them the right to revoke the license at any time... Don't most EULAs have something like that?
There's several things wrong with the EULA. The most signifigant is the limitation of one computer per copy of the software. That means that if I have 3 computers and Vendetta was a pay game, I would have to pick one to play on. MMORPG games make their money off of subscriptions, not copies of the software. I'm pretty sure that that clause is just a general thing they put in there, and it should be removed.
I read EULAs. Microsoft's is very wrong and should have been taken down by court long ago. It violates several laws I believe. I also read Comcast's for the Internet Access. They have legal permission to hack my computer.

Rogue, but this isn't a MMORPG. This is a test.
I think the main thing here isn't the EULA, it's the devs intent. Why they have the 1 comp rule, I don't know. But the thing is, I run it on several. One account, several comps. Why? I have a linux box...a mac box...a windows box...a OS/2 box (yeah, I know).
So I just put it on my Mac, Linux and PC. It was to see how it ran, etc. Do the devs care? I dunno. I'd actually kinda like to know.

Sue... Sue... Sue... Sue...

I'd like to know the answer to that two. I'm in violoation of the EULA until I figure it out.
i imagine you just e-mail guild and ask them to delete it.
thank you spellcast and spectre_c_me, i mean come on i asked a question and almost immediately it went straight off topic. So anyway i'll try your suggestion spellcast.
well i guess that i will delete my brothers account then too... he gave it to me last night said something about not being able to pay rent and keep the computer.... oh well his mistake...

Ok, the EULA needs to be redone, and an additional in-game connection time EULA will also probably be added (relating to gameplay behaviour and how we can kick or ban anyone we want to, yadda yadda).
In response to the questions on here, I would like each individual to have their own account, with their own account information (especially if it differs on hardware or anything useful to debugging). So, I don't particularly want people to share accounts. I don't care if you load the game onto multiple computers. I don't want people to have multiple accounts. Given the number of character slots available, I don't think there's a need. Some special exceptions to this have been granted, on occasion.
Obviously, anyone who uses multiple accounts to circumvent the in-game moderator risks irritating me greatly.
