hey guys, long time no see.
I already backed what I can afford, after that I read that for 250$ I could get a poster. Sadly I don't have 250$ to spend. Would it be possible to acquire said poster through the merchandise shop?

If not, I'll sell you my poster on the cheap - I only went to $250 for the pirate naming.
@Dr. Lecter why is that not surprising me that you want the NPC pirate naming... ;).
Anyway, if they don't sell it, that'd be awesome! Thanks.

About time you guys did this. Got my $100. Although I'd give you $1,000 if you told me the update log would never again read "Updated android/tablet version of (...)" =P
"Updated iOS version of (...)" this time Ghost, hope to see you online in 1.9!
I haven't played the game in years, but this was such wonderful news to me that I pledged $50 almost directly. I also did a 3 month subscription now, awaiting my 20 months ;)
After briefly fiddling around with EVE, I really prefer this game for one simple reason: You guys have native Linux support. The tech support at EVE told me basically to sod off when I couldn't get it to work in Wine.
So yeah, cheers to Guild Software!

Pledged $25, and will do my part to spread the word.
50$ sent. Campaign is looking good so far!
Creeping towards 19%... I like it, hope the pace continues.
I doubled my pledge. \o/
Doubled my pledge to $100 :)
Maybe we should poke that progress bar a little bit...it doesn't seem to be moving much :/ (new to kickstarter so I don't know if that's 'normal')
Because I'm a nice guy and Inc. has put up with me over all these years... I'd like to make him put up with me for 99 more ;) Plus, I could use the frequent flier miles.
Pledge bumped.

Destructor: the literature on the topic suggests the most activity is centered around the start and end of a campaign, with the slow part being in the middle. I would assume that kickstarter goes to more effort to market those projects that are close to being funded and about to finish also so they can capitalise on their cut.
Many thanks Lecter, and everyone else :). It will definitely slow down in the middle, activity tends to follow a kind of "smile" pattern. But I'm going to continue doing what I can to keep up interest. I'm looking at trying a reddit AMA sometime soon (I'm new to reddit, so that's a little daunting)
The next milestone I'm really looking for is the $30k "tipping point". According to Kickstarter, if a project reaches 30% of its goal, there's a 90% chance that it will succeed. And it doesn't matter if it reaches that goal early or late, but.. I'm really hoping we reach it early :).
We do have that "Early Supporters get a Cooler Badge" thing going on. Maybe I can tie some other reward to that badge as well, but I'm leery of making post-Early people too bummed about having missed out.
I'm sure we'll still need to do a big push at the end, and in the meantime I'm going to be needing all the help I can get with the "getting the word out" factor. There's only so much I can do with our own channels and press contacts, especially since I just blanketed the hell out of them a few days ago.

Woohoo, $20k! 1/5th of the way in 5/36 days.
Mom did an AMA, I asked him if you were an evil taskmaster and awkward e-silence ensued... Should I read in to that at all? :P
I didn't reply because I couldn't think of anything witty to say right away, and then no one else even asked anything and the story didn't get many upvotes. So, "did an AMA" is an overstatement. The story TRS posted in linux_gaming, which initially had some legs, got modded as spam because they thought the KS was entirely about the iPad port. I messaged them, and they reversed it, but it was too late for reddit's "hotness" algorithm.
Okay maybe we need to do another one then, maybe with a new update vid we can get some more emphasis on the content update.
In hindsight tabling the iOS update to be discussed before the other things might have bored some viewers. It's hard to say.
Mom that was the part where you quickly Segway into how awesome it is working in a small dev team!!!

Ah crap, you guys did this at entirely the wrong time for me, but if I can chip some cash in towards the end I surely will.
Good luck!
