Thankfully I never played it on Steam; had it on XBox for about three years before I recently tossed it because holy shit it's still a time sink all these years later and I really shouldn't be killing entire weekends indoors here. I first got Skyrim when I was studying for the Hawaii bar; I have no idea how I passed it because I basically spent whole weeks at a time playing.

VO was kinda like that back in law school, but was never quite as immersive as stuff like EVN or Skyrim.

An amazing RPG will always have the edge in immersive-ness, since they don't have a public chat with whining/cursing/etc. But I think VO at it's peak wins on emergent unique gameplay

I have an excuse, I got married in 2006. I came back (off and on) after my divorce in 2014. Things are just a bit tight still. I'm paying down the credit card first.
