he had a nice post... ok, what he said was that human battles over flag caps are getting rare... because 1 human and bots can defend pretty much everything...so he said we should have a 3.1.x and early 3.2.x flag cap style, but to test the bos, have the uber-bots guarding a station with the special ships, station 1 with some (few) uber-bots will have your own nations specials, then station 2 with more uber-bots will have other-nations specials.

I think the current state of capping is gone because well everyone has money and it's pointless to cap when you have endless money. Plus teamwork is down since again...everyone has money.

Arkamir, you're not the only one who doesn't know it. I don't know it and I have no interest in learning it since it's been reported.

Back on topic. I completely agree with Asp. This has been a problem ever since the flag cap reset. Human vs Human flag fights have become extremely rare. With bots there an out numbered offensive force never attempts to get the flag. There fore there is almost always a few defenders who generally turn to mines and homers (which is just more human vs AI).

This isn't just a capping problem. The pattern will continue if there are missions that require people to go into enemy home sectors.

you are semi right. But if you go head in into someone elses homesector, I cant just expect the entire nation to let you just enter it without any form of hostility.

Now you could imagine to do this by being trusted by that government and having a certain clearnace code to allow the bots to not notice you and that will dissapear if you misuse it "for instance you are on a mission to rescue a priosoner at sec 3, and in stead you take the advantage of the bots not attacking you to grab the flag, then you can expect that the botsunhostility code gets opverriden with the flag in danger code." And so on and so on. Or that you go to sec 18 or something else to get a little radarsignature thingy or a goldnation colored ship or ... . the possibilities are endless.

But going head in into enemy territorie is supposed to be very difficult or even suicide.

Someone mentioned that the number of defense bots be reduced if there are people in the home sectors. That way once the flag defenders enter the home sectors, the defense bots will finish their fight and go and dock after killing their target or being killed. That idea could work if somebody came up with a way to make the bots figure out who is a defender and who is just a botting newbie. Perhaps a minimum score?

I agree with you, except how about an alert goes out to all players that an enemy has entered their home sectors, or something that encourages player involvement and compitition.

Blaster:
Hopefully score will be more significant in the future. It will be based roughly on your skill, not how much time & money you've spent l-mining/nuking bots, and it may even be the same, or similar for all your chars on an acount. This wouldn't stop multiple accounts, but that's a temp problem since at some point people will be paying for accounts.

I have no problem with that eldrad, but the bots should still be attackig the intruder regardless of any non npc playing this game.
