I want a pilotwings style race track online! :D
Remember the flying levels from Spyro? There were a series of rings you had to fly through, and then a series of chests you had to torch or charge, and other stuff like light houses to ignite, airplanes to kill, etc. There was a timer counting down and getting through the rings and what-not would add a little more time to it so that you could finish before it expired.

Those were fun.
I'm imagining flying through a cource with magic glowy rings, collectors to pop, rotating roids to dodge, items to collect (that vanish rather than stay in your hold), etc. Would be pretty neat.

The tutorials on Android actually feature a lot of that (flying through rings, docking, targeting and combat, etc). The ideas long pre-date Spyro (X-Wing and earlier games used similar concepts), and they're still good ones.
Would it be too much to ask for a screen shot of these rings? Or can we expect them ingame at some point?
screenshots would be good, video would be better and having the whole thing on the test server would be awesome.
I wonder how much better flying is when using this with the Xoom.
Well done Guild, you should be very proud of how far you have come :D

Congrats! Was excited to see you guys on that commercial.
@incarnate
Would you care to post some statistics of by how much % the XOOMers increased the number of active players / paying players ?
I'm very interested to see how many new people came to the game lately.

I don't have a Xoom but I noticed the game from the TV ad. :)
bumping this topic because I saw the ad on the CWTV's website during an episode of Supernatural. The ad had a vulture in this cool 3d GUI display, and the dude was firing a neutrino. IF someone cared enough, it would be pretty easy to find which sector he was in from that ad, since if I remember it had a gas giant in the backround.
but yeah, this is cool.

Or.. I could post the sector, since I shot the footage, heh.
Cool though, glad you liked it. The vulture thing was a total surprise to me. The advertising company did that all on their own, never asked me for assets or anything. Apparently a bunch of them had started playing the game, and they thought it was fitting to put in some iconic imagery based on a ship design in the game. Very cool.
