Ok, just a simple petition, just post back saying something about signing it if you agree.
I also got the log of why he should be banned for.

There are A LOT of people that deserved to be banned a while back when I played. And I'm not talking about cursing either. It was more along the lines of racial slurs and remarks about sexual orientation. And as usual there weren't any guides on at the time. Too bad I didn't save the logs.

I will agree to sign this and here is why...

I enjoy playing this game however when I log in and see 6 lines of swearing made by 1 person(not saying anything about who started anything because I don't know) I get annoyed. There are people that are barely teenagers playing this game and I know there are filters and such but its the attitude displayed not the specific words that bother me. This is a game...a test for a game even so keep the heat swearing and violent/abusive language out of it. I sign this petition to make a statement against ALL the people that do this and as an example to others to hopefully in the future tone it down.

Well, that's basically what he did tonight. I'm also signing this. Tonight's display was a bit disturbing.

I sign it as well, for the reasons of Durgia & Arolte; Normally I wouldn't bother, but I absolutely cannot stand a constant barrage of swearing and explicitly perverse language that is just disgusting. I had to log out it was so ugly: this game could be rated Adult / M / XXX when things like this happen.

Banning may help, but the best thing to do IMHO is to have a server op online, even if it's just a devout player with good sense, who can kick / temporarily ban people from the game.

Thanks very much for not posting the logs. As I 've stated earlier, the guides follow the guidelines set forth by the game developers. I'll see what they have to say.

Now let me just say...I came in to the sound of 3 main people fighting...alienb, *, and Asus. Now after trying to get both sides to settle down it finally happened. None of them were left in 13.

So I just said voo, asus vs me and doof and there was PEACE. Asus came in docked...and in a few seconds we did a nice little bus derby and it was also fun. * In came in and even ref. the derby. Then alienb comes back into the game to hear * yell "GET HIM DOOF" thus getting alienb to fly instantly to sc13 in search to kill asus. Obviously tentions are high. But thats not what * exactly mean't it was down to asus, voo, vs doof.

Then for a good solid 5-10 mins it was completely and nicely peaceful. Everyone was watching the busses...until * who the most evidence points to unleashed a rocket and well then... All hell broke lose. Took me another 2-3mins to settle it down but it finally happened.

Now the question you all esp *, alien, and asus...is what if I wasn't there how far would you guys have yelled, swore, called each other names till finally someone left? There should never be need for this. All 3 of you need to take just a tad bit of rest.

Now as for the banning do I agree...absolutely not. Everyone is just a bit frustrated at the comments being said back and forth and it happens. Obvious Asus shouldn't have said some of these comments but a lot of other people who did the exact same thing and got fed up with another player said stuff just like he did.

So please...instead of going crazy enough to put a ban petition...just take a time of rest from vendetta 1-2 hours come back and forget what happened. If he/she is still on just avoid them or even better if u can't handle it there is always /ignore "Name"

starfreeze: from the first time he swore to the last 6 x 6 swearing, it was a whole hour... I suggest everyone look at the log... yes, ignoring is good feature, yes, but what do you feel logging in for the first time, seeing all these **** in the chat with occasional misspelling swears? (which, unfortunately, bypasses the filter).
and this wasn't the first time or the second time he raged about this... in fact, from some people's view, this one was better... because there wasn't any racial comment.
Even if he doesn't get a ban, he should get a suspension (temporary ban), there needs to be something done about these things.

I understand your feelings StarFreeze, and I'm glad you got him to cool down: I tried earlier, and it didn't work. But this is an ongoing problem, and not just with Asus-- I see lots of profanity and explicit language that should
A) be caught by the filter and/or
B) be moderated by a server operator

E.g., our friendly moderator here keeps the board intact (thank you! :), but I think we need a similar solution for the game.
I know the developers don't have time for this, but maybe someone like StarFreeze could have the power to kick someone for 15 minutes until they cool down?

I can't stand constant swearing, and I know I'm not the only one-- even the moderator would not stand for anything that bad on this board. Evil tactics such as griefing & pirating might not be fun, but using as much profanity as you can is just immature & sickening, especially for a beta test.

And speaking as a tester, I prefer to test games that are... at a slightly higher level, if you know what I mean :-)

my point is not against any indivdual but at the entire community to wake up and start acting with some respect for others. I refuse to recommend this game to anybody until the chat can be somehow moderated to a pg13 environment. Maybe until something better comes a long a 1 hour ban for all people involved would be good. Not a great answer but something must be done or players will start leaving. Its sad that such a great game starts to loose interest for me because of a few players with no respect for others or the game and too much fire in their blood to just remember its a game. My vote is not against Asus personaly but he was just the last straw on the camel so it has to start somewhere. This is not a single case senerio it is a plague of times...3 out of 5 times I leave for 30 mins to get away from swearing constantly.

/me likes how SF accuses him of being an aggressor...too bad the chat logs show otherwise


I think SF is too opinionated and lets his personal feelings get in the way of his reason.

I've got my log saved, which shows a few paragraphs of me trying to calm him, (asus) down, (also, where SF saying he doesnt like me and wants to see me banned instead of asus)

I'm not gonna agree or disagree, I'll just say this isn't the first time he has come around swearing like he did. Infact, i'd say it's about the 5th or 10th time. Everytime he logs in, all i see from his is a buncha curses and racial remarks.

asus has a serious attitude problem. i'll sign the petition. it's for the good of the game and the community if asus is gone.
