I saw quite a few moths I had scanned that said they had cargo then drop nothing once destroyed.
Ok, so there's clearly still a problem with the new cargo-tracking/dropping mechanism; thanks for the reports. It's my #1 priority, but it seems to be another "heisenbug," so it might be a few days before I track it down or find a workaround.
Um, just get on and start spawning voys while you have a cargo scanner equipped. I promise you'll be able to observe in short order.
It's much less useful to get it to happen in production than in a controlled environment, where debug instrumentation can be added, and possible fixes can be tested. Anyway, I did just that, on production, test and dev, and it worked every time. The bugs thread provided me some leads, but I'm too tired to follow them up just now.
thanks for working on this momerath its quite frustraiting to scan a voy with valuable cargo and then have it disappear in one jump
Weird, I've been getting screwed on cargo every time. Hope it gets tracked down soon.
I am not sure AUX port will improve gameplay at all. At the moment the point is to fly in groups, while adding AUX ports will bring game back to solo. Let's unite in groups more often and try to use VO on 100% of all possibilities!
Post it once more when VO has enough players to do so.
And post it in Suggestions
The reason the cargo is disappearing is the SMV Nemesis was waiting on the other side of the jump, quickly pirated the voy, then FTL-ed away before you got in the sector...
