MMO gaming site mmosite.com is running a "Reader's Choice Award", where people may vote for MMOs and MMO-companies under certain categories. We're listed in a number of categories, including "Favorite p2p game" (pay to play), and "Favorite Company" (as Guild Software). Just a heads-up, if anyone is interested:

Guild and VO also.

Just a note, these guys aren't too worried about vote rigging. I was curious if they were using any sort of checks to stop multiple voting... I voted 5 times for guild software. My guess is the winner of this contest will be the one who's users figure this out first, or are lacking in ethics, much like myself :P

Considering the recent and impressive spike in "Runes of Magic" and "Frogster Interactive", I'd say that that bunch figured out what you did, Snax.

Now it's a competition of who can stuff the ballot box faster. :-/

So well, I would feel tottaly guilty if I voted for guild software more than once by myself, but THEY ARE, the best gaming co in the world, how many gaming companies do you think give feedback like guild do?

Hmm, I feel a cron job coming on...

...afterall, it would be cron voting not me?

Voting more than once isn't cheating. It reflects the dedication of the player-base.

Voting more than once isn't cheating. It reflects the idiocy and immaturity of the player-base.

Damn.
I was hoping to use the results of this vote to once and for all put an end to the script kiddies who worship Blizzard.

If only more honest people were on the blago-blago-sphere.

You shouldn't post that information here :) And you should let it vote for a few hours. the vote is too close now :)

We're winning p2p right now, but we still have a ways to go in Graphics and Company. Get voting, folks!

Also, because this is sort of a travesty of a contest, here's the lazy way:

curl -d 'gcname=Vendetta%20Online&item=4' http://contest.mmosite.com/gameprize/dovote.php
curl -d 'gcname=Vendetta%20Online&item=1' http://contest.mmosite.com/gameprize/dovote.php
curl -d 'gcname=Guild%20Software&item=6' http://contest.mmosite.com/gameprize/dovote.php

Or, maybe for the even lazier:

for ((i=1;i<250;i+=1)); do curl -d 'gcname=Guild%20Software&item=6' http://contest.mmosite.com/gameprize/dovote.php > /dev/null 2>&1; done

Figure out how to do the others yourself.

I'm not going to spam graphics, p2p and f2p are different though

No offense to the devs, but VO for the graphics category is pushing it...

Could not vote more than once from the same computer (i would guess it's IP based, maybe also cookie based) but I did see one could vote in 4 (FOUR) categories: P2P, F2P, Graphics, Company.
And btw, I like the graphics and I don't play other games, so...
