I think its a good idea Smittens these new players hopefully have friends and if their experience in the game is good then maybe word of mouth will get even more people to play giving the devs more money. More money = more content. IMO

TIP TO THE NOOBS: We love to help. But if you saturate us with questions that are answered by the manual, or, Gods forbid, by THINKING, I and some others will get unpleasant or less inclined to help.

Haha, really, this sort of thing cracks me up... I mean, if they can't figure this out, then maybe the VO community is just better off without them. This kind of sheer stupidity may be tolerable or even standard on WoW, but in VO, we have a reputation to keep as a community for above-average IQ.

I remember first being hunted by Uncle Dave when I was a trader, then I ended up turning into some sort of nublar pirate and camped sector 8 and others with him, and then he formed the Vipers. That was weird.

Edit: Can't remember being camped into a station by him though. I would usually just take my chances instead of rotting in the station lounge.

I've been playing for a while now... I'd LIKE to help new people, only I don't ever see any... Sure, there's the occasional question that pops up, but I ask question once in a while, too. Don't you?

I wanted to get spammed mentor points, so I went to the starting zone in Dau. But I swear, there was a newbie popping up every hour. I'm not sure if they were all legit newbs or not, but if they weren't atleast they pretended to be.

Most players are willing to answer questions from newer players whenever they can .

If you are new and asking a question try and remember the following:

1 DO NOT ASK THE QUESTION IN CAPS IT ANNOYS FOLKS !!!!!

2 Please do the training missions and flight test first , explains a lot .

3 Don't expect an instant answer . Other players may be busy er, playing .....

4 Read the manual , visit vo-wiki.com.

5 Don't tell everyone your location over channel 100

6 Do not /roll, /fov, /explode or /displayshippos
