Playing Serco sucks in several ways. Being ganked at BS sector, 1 extra jump to join BP, seeing all targets red in Deneb, absence of valk (OMG no valk?!?!?!)

But complaining for being shot at during BP is just dumb.

BP IS NOT A LEVELLING MISSION!

So whenever I take log in to my Itany char, I hope to get some good fights in BP. And if I see some alone nooby Serco hunting for Itany bots there, I don't care if he is trying to level up here. First, BP is Border Patrol, patrolling borders and getting rid or Serco. Second, Serco bots will not spawn anyway, until I kill Serco players.

BP IS A WAR MISSION!

If you want levelling, do hive skirmish in Sedina.

So, if I see alone Serco in BP sector, I hunt him. They usually don't respect fair fight rules, and try to run. Well, Serco noobs usually do not know even how to run properly :)

However, sometimes I jump in BP sector and see a group of ITAN folk hunting one Serco. Well, this is usually the reason to re-log to my UIT char. When I do BP with my SKV folks, and alone Serco shows up, we give him 1v1 fights, in turns (there I assume they don't come in proms :] But even that is not always a reason to group up on somebody)

That is something many (not all though) ITANs do not understand. But in my experience many BP missions end up as me vs 2-3 Serco pilots. That is never a reason for me to whine though

But, when there are many players on both sides, this can not continue as a group of 1v1 fights, and the rules of group fights start to apply. In group fights targetting the same enemy is the best tactics in most cases.

And as for dodge binds, this is the dumbest thing to use in PvP. And shouting on 100 about many-vs-one victories is even dumbier (however Serco players sometimes do that).

Also, as some people said above, if you see some players abusing, you should better complain to their guilds. There is actually one primary guild to complain to on Itani side. At least, not every Itani tries to create his very own combat guild :-P

In VO history nations took turns with lame players & tactics. Times change.
I found myself in C-10 fighting alone against 10 or more sercos many times.
I found myself ganked in C-10 by several sercos with Itani admire standing so Itani bots did not attack them while they were ganking me along with serco bots.
I found myself ganked in C-10 by serco players with Itani admire standing flying valkyres and they were all homed at the same Itani station i was homed in Deneb.
Lamers are not exclusive to any nation.
Try to adapt to BP situation. If you are not able to handle it, go do something else. VO universe is big and there are many ways to level a character.

Why it does'nt work for every Itani kill in Deneb?

This mission is a total failure.
Totaly crap to make it work only in C-10.
The mission should work for every Itani Kill everywhere in Dened.
So maybe we could call it border patrol.

Maybe i should resub. to the game to show you how i fucked up that mission 6 months ago.

Again I say, suck it up. This is no problem. N00bs should be taught to seek out group fights and not bitch about it. That is the single best way to learn PVP, and it doesn't take many outnumbered battles for one to get good enough to take out at least one enemy. As for them bragging, tough luck. A lot of Serco and UIT do that too, so like everyone said stop being a nationalist. And if they're really bugging you (and you don't have the mental capacity to look past their writing) type /ignore.

And Spell, nice. I never would've expected something like that from a guy as levelheaded as you, and it just shows how permeating the Ayn/SH annoyance is.

I think that the concensus is that each nation has its share of jerks. We've learned in another thread that people aren't gravitating to one nation or another based on the bahaviors they observe - they're going for high census, favorite color, ship style, or (rarely) backstory.

The best solution, for ALL of us, is to avoid being a jerks ourselves - even if somebody else "deserves it".

smittens was surprised i said it.. he just agrees with it.

for the record whistler you know very well i dont normally say things like that. but i'm of the opinion that ayn is more aggrivating than hes worth. I could live with his english as its obviously not his first language, but its his utter refusal to apparently even read responses to his posts before spouting off more of the same old random drivel that drives me insane.

incidentally i lurk occasionally and hope to get back into game sometime soonish. my daughter is growing like a weed and she's a trip, but its getting to where i can actually set her down and have both hands free for more than 30 seconds at a time so maybe i can get back ingame soon.. then there will be another target in the serco dominion, at least until i scrape some of the rust off.

OP, Serco has the most beautiful, most perfect, spacecraft ever made, The Serco Guardian Vulture. Flying it is worth all the ganking in the world.

I knew what Smittens meant, I was agreeing with his suprise that you would say it, Spellcast, because it's true that you rarely say such things. I structured my post poorly - I didn't mean to imply that Smittens disagreed with the sentiment.

Back to the thread: One way in which to avoid being jerks ourselves is to choose not to respond to baiting in kind.

If ayn should leave vendetta, then by jingle, lecter should. Ayn doesn't go around griefing noobs, or making smartassed comments. Ayn's only problem isn't a problem; he's young.
