I LUV all three images, rogue and spidey those are the most imaginative treatments to VO I have seen! Actually, their only ones I've ever seen, but still, hats off to ya both. Bravo!!!
Seriously, I don't know why, but they made quite an impact, at least for me.
And, umm, spidey, do your parents know you’re on psychedelic drugs???
I'm just saying...

The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is an open-source tool for, well, image manipulation (http://www.gimp.org), editing photos etc. Think of it as poor man's Photoshop, though it is in fact a very capable piece of software.
GIMP filters are essentially sub-programs or functions called from within GIMP that perform image-processing tasks (sharpening, blurring, solarizing etc.). Many are included in the package, and you can write your own too.
I suggest you download a copy of the GIMP and play with it. The documentation is a bit basic, but there's lots of info on the web.

You'll need to install X11 for it to work if you're on a Mac.
i tried downloading x11 from the apple website but it still doesnt work
the game needs a 60s science fiction style shader!
Did X11 install? If yes, then lucky you. If not, the version on the Mac site was buggy when I installed. I needed to fish out my install dvd.
As for GIMP, make sure you have the .dmg version. That also takes a little fishing to find.
