ok...i see the screen shots...(which are amazing quality, on par with EVE online)...but in game, wow. sever difference. this game has the potential to be one of the all time greats in its genre but the poor graphic quality holds it back

Change your ingame settings in the Graphics and Video options. Full Screen Glow Effect makes a huge difference. It looks the exact same in the screenshots as in the game to me.

same here

vo auto-magically selects the most appropriate graphics settings based on your hardware. it tries to maximize game-play above visuals.

tinkering with resolutions, size etc can greatly help.

give us a hint of your hardware and people with similar configurations will be glad to share their preferred settings.

so why the huge players differnce? I log onto EVE and there 22000 players minimum...massive player vs player wars, etc etc...

both games seem to offer about the same, so why is it I usually see about 40 or so active players...it does make the game easier, but still, think of the possablities if Vendetta had the kind of player base that EVE does?

EVE is a strategy game based on grinding and, unfortunatrly, many people out there who play EVE have programs to do all their trading for them. VO is an MMOFPS, as it's been coined. Not much roleplay content for now, but it's combat system is pretty damn good. And the developers of VO haven't advertised yet, citing they want it to be ready for massive player influx.

I love Vendetta...its a great game. I still wish there were more players...but the combat system could use a target locking system

no I really do love this game...but theres hardly ever anyone on...do you have any idea how many online scifi games have come and gone? nearly all of them, this one has staying power...hell its cross platform! currently the biggest one is PC only. the cross platform factor alone is a great selling point, hell its enough to carry the game.

it just seems that right now the game is dead in the water...and I think thats a shame...because as I pointed out this game has more potential than any other of its kind that I've seen...simply because of its small size it has the capabiltity to learn from the mistakes others of its kind have made and come out a better game.

Mmm, that fine, fine musky smell of troll.
Makes me glad I got out of bed this morning!

how am I a troll for suggesting a target lock system? I've done nothing but PRAISE this game and say how I..."DON'T"...want it to go the way of so many others.

just so we are all crystal f**king clear on this...I want this game to grow, to last and to be the #1 game in the genre...but BE REAL, it needs more players to get there.

it is a great game, I want it to not only compete with its compitiion...but anhiliate it, I want to see this game DESTROY all the competitors. sure I play several online games and two are sci-fi...(this one and its ONLY RIVAL)...I've seen alot of online games fade away...and still more stagnate. I seriously do not want to see that happen to this one.

but I stand my my statement that this one could use a target lock.

oh...and to the first 2 posters...thank you, it worked
Mar 18, 2007 genka link
Well, gee, let's see. You start with a bullshit complaint, post within minutes of anyones response and when your first try just gets you a couple of naive attempts to help, you bring up player count, and when that gets shot down with a bit of condescending defensive blabber, you counter with a ridiculously vague "suggestion."

The options, in my opinion, are troll or someone in desperate need of ritalin.

Ryan,

see your other thread in the Suggestions forum (which is the correct place to suggest features. Make sure you look over the "READ FIRST" thread before you go posting though.) I responded to your concern about the game dying there.

As for the game stagnating, slide your mouse over to the left and click on the News link. Read all the posts there, please. I think you'll feel a lot better when you understand what is happening around you. Welcome to Vendetta.

Genka...fortunately for me, I couldnt care less about your opinion. though you ar eentitled to it.
Mar 18, 2007 Whistler link
Ah, good.

You have established the same relationship with genka that most people opt for. Now take a break from posting and go play the game before somebody ELSE starts posting that there aren't enough players.

Gosh Whistler, you don't have to be so dismissive of everyone I meet.

I feel like I've made a real connection here!
