Missles have target lock and most guns have some autoaim ..or do you mean something else?

I'm thinking ryan means even MORE fire-n-forget. Like swarms which last twice as long, home twice as well, and go twice as fast?

Other than that, we DO have target lock, Ryan - although you have to aim for yourself, and that is a Good Thing™.

Welcome to Vendetta, feel free to bring a few hundred subscribers with you anytime. Just remember, the game's not finished yet. Not by a long shot.

Keep in mind the total number of game developers for this game come to a massive total of..........4.

I'm going to take sides with Ryan, and suggest that instead of attacking a new player for pointing out the serious (but being worked on by great developers) problems in the game, take this as an educational experience. Ryan is a new player who is boldly sharing his honest first impressions of this game. If we want a big playerbase eventually, we need to listen to the brand new players say what will or won't keep them coming. I agree, this game has more potential than almost any other game I've seen.

If we get Eve-like "gank targeted player" buttons, I'm leaving. If I wanted full lock on (as in "all shots go to the target location") I'd play Eve.

It'd be interesting to see what would happen if your ship's nose what automatically guided to the aiming reticle. I gauruntee it wouldn't be as effective as a live pilot, but it's strange to think that this far in the future all ships are still manually controlled. Of course paranoia about the hive bots might responsible for the taboo about making a machine to do anything a human can do. It'd certainly explain the stigma on Swarms. ;)

Man we're off topic.

How about a good, old fashioned mechanical lock?
