*** Vendetta 1.7.20

- Fixed broken weapon effects
- Fixed pixel shader 1.1 bug
- Fixed bug where storm effects wouldn't appear but storm
exit nav point would
- Fixed bug where effect detail setting would not take
effect on particle systems (like the swarm missiles)
- Hive and Border Skirmish should end all the time now,
for real this time

Tried a couple of HS missions. H3 and J2 at approx 0900 gmt. both missions worked with correct bot kill and completion bonus messages . However the bots remaining in the sector after the completion message did not warp out , they just stayed in sector and continued to attack , though no more appeared to warp in .

I stayed in sector for a few minutes , so maybe they do warp out eventually , I'll have another go later

hey rockets kinda fade out now and don't just go poof. Hmm .. I just thought of an awesome suggestion!

good thing the gauss is back to normal, those effects kinda sucked! The only one I liked was the one on jackhammers, it made them look like those dumbfire rockets from freespace.

I might just start playing again if *friendly fire/faction* update happens soon. :)

Now, I admit, hate of bojan isn't exactly the most wide-spread of virtues in the world, but surely spite is a universal quality?

Eh, whatever. I'll just pretend that "if you mean what I think you mean" implies that bojan here means "please, put working on the faction system and friendly fire for as long as you possibly can so that I end up tired of waiting and bugger off for good, forums and all."

say, devs, while you guys tinker in the visual effects department, think you can have a look/discussion about the mining effect?

having it not shoot out from our canopy would be nice.

just a thought.

Hmm. The effect is always supposed to come out of an addon port. However, not all ports actually have a gun on it.
I'll check on the addon port positions to see if there's a misplaced one.

I think what upper case is talking about is how in the 1st-person view we can see the end of the beam where the addon port is.
