what i mean is that the mining rays shoot out from the middle of my screen regardless of what direction i'm looking at, in 1st person view.

when you view things in 3rd person, it's clear the rays come out of the port. not the canopy.

i just hate having drilling rays aimed straight at my retina. :p

That's because your view is in the center of the ship, not in the canopy, and i doubt that's going to change.

Might be a little off topic but the UI is crap! Heh, joking.

Been away for a while, but it seems if you sell a ship that is not your active ship, you then have to reselect the active ship to be able to undock.

Might just be me, but it's real annoying when you have no monies and need to sell ships :D

There's plenty of little annoyances in the "new" UI for me, but none of them are worth pitching a fit over. I don't know if I should make more suggestions on it.

It's what happens when you use the force to fire your weapons, the power comes from within yourself and not your ship. Try going into preferences and turning "FORCE" to "OFF."
