Icarus has more PK's than the other top 12 players around him put together

The top five Blue players have 15% of their nations score, with a national score average of 2514 points

Icarus also has the most bus and newbie kills out of everyone who ever played or signed up for Vendetta. Yay!! Congrats!! Not.

Hmmm...that would be interesting if it tracked ship kills by type of spacecraft (Promy, Valk, Warthog, etc.).

Or by the average score of the destroyed player.

What still gets me is that I'm ranked somewhere around 125 or so, and there are only 12 players ranked higher than me with more pks.

If you take out griefers and pirates like phoenix, icarus, nihm, nessus, etc, there are only a very small handful of normal players with more pks. That's whack - there should be more. Lots more.

This tells me that a lot of people are botting, not PARTICIPATING. I'm almost always only hostile to pirates, griefers, and during caps, and though there are a LOT of griefers in game lately, I'm still not hostile very often.

What are you all doing? F*** your score, man, participate!

I think it's high time that flag capping and flag defense rewards were increased exponentially. Capping used to pay for an entire ship. Now it hardly pays for an engine.

40kc to the capper, 1k score, 20kc and 200 score to the team, and 10kc and 100 score to successful defenders. That still hardly makes it worthwhile, but it's a start.

You'd see a LOT fewer pirates and griefers online if they had something do BESIDES preying on noobs, busses and traders. More players would stop botting and start playing, too. Hopefully, the crappy atmosphere we've seen of late would go away and so many good players wouldn't be driven from the game.

Actually, Icarus just kill what comes his way, be it bus or prom.

The only way people got up that high is through s14 bot nuking.

S/K is the average bounty of the things you've killed. 109 for Icarus. He has killed the most noobs but he's also killed the most skilled players and is one of the best players himself.

Um, how do you get PKs? You name 4 people, are we supposed to kill them for our PKs? In short, what you're saying is stupid. Pirating is and will be part of the main game. The big problem everyone is making is assuming that someone's behavior mirrors their real-life behavior. Icarus, I'm sure, is a really nice guy. Same with "phoenix, nihm, and nessus."

My point: Enough complaining - it's part of the game.

You get PKs by participating. In flag caps, flag defense, etc.

Paying attention to all the words I wrote put together helps :)

First of all, I agree that botting for points is stupid. I am hovering at spot number 10something because I don't bot to get meaningless points. I kill people that try to cap red (sometimes blue too), people preventing red (and yes sometimes blue) from caping, people that piss me off, people that look at me funny, etc. Notice that these are all _people_. I really think the ranking system needs an overhaul to reflect more than just points. I could be above blaster by tomorrow morning if I cared to waste mindless bots, but I don't. I stopped fighting bots as soon as I could hold my own against the average player. This should be standard practice. Skill should be how one is ranked, not patience with nukes.
