**SEEDING AGAIN!**
(I'm currently seeding with Azureus. You will need a similar client or FTP program to download the file.)

Download here: http://www.torrentportal.com/details/723793/&uploaded=1
(119) MB

I know it's still bigger than it should be. Anyone who wants to try and compress it more, feel free.

About the video: A mediocre film. There is no story, no plot and definitely no chronological order. So it may seem confusing if you're trying to put a story to it or establish the order of events. It's just a collection of shots from Border Skirmish. Basically, a lot of stuff exploding for no particular reason and such with some music in the background. A little something I threw together with minimal time. I would have liked to have had more shots of fighters in the battle, but alas, I couldn't find a lot of people to film. I was looking for a little less footage of the caps and more fast paced dogfights, but I guess that's how the cookie crumbles. A thanks goes out to lord spidey for letting me film him though.

And just for the hell of it, in case you missed "Vendetta! The Trailer", which had a lot more time put into it than this one, I'm currently seeding that again as well. This one is only 39MB, thanks to the wonderful skills of momerath. You can find it also via FTP client here: http://www.torrentportal.com/details/696901/&uploaded=1

Are you SURE your uploading?

Well, someone is downloading the 8GB version from me as we speak via FTP, so I'm positive that one is working. Was it one in particular that didn't work for you or was it both? As for the 8 gig file, your guess is as good as mine. I tried a few different compressors, but I think it's more because my adobe premiere version is from 2002. I'm exporting a smaller file as we speak and will have the torrent up ASAP. And once I get some time, I will try to compress the 100% quality version some more and at least get it below 1GB. For now, again, I reccomend just doing the 80% version.

Could the person who is/has downloading/ed the file post here and let others know what you did to access the file?

Edit: If anyone is able to download it and wants to take a stab at compressing it further, they're welcome to it.

Both.

Oh works with azureus.
I usually use the official client odd that it doesn'T work with that one.

Downloading it now.

=( sorry Kix, I have no clue why it's not working for you. Maybe try it with Azureus? What FTP are you using tumble?

65% quality version is now up. It doesn't look terrible, but picture and sound are pretty grainy. Next to come is a more compressed 100% version.

Ghost, Bittorrent isn't FTP. In order to seed the upload, your machine has to have your bittorent app (Azureus, Bittorrent, Bittornado etc) open and seeding. None of the 3 torrents seem to have any seeding on them at all.

and secondly, how long is this video, and what format, codec and resolution did you use when exporting it? Unless it is substantially longer than your first movie, something is seriously wrong with the way Premier created the file. Seems like the "100%" one is at your full screen resolution in MPEG 1 or 2 (judging by the file size alone).

i wanna know why 80% quality and 100% quality have an 8GB difference.

8GB's is massive. and for bittorrent too, that'll take forever.

I'm definitely seeding it. There's now 2 people downloading them as we speak. One doing the full and one doing the 80%. For the full quality, I'm showing 1 peer connected and also 3 in swarm. I've had Azureus open and it says it's seeding all 3 of the files. I know that something is wrong with the way premiere is creating the file, but I don't know what. The first one actually came out the same way (Vendetta The Trailer), but I sent it to Momerath and he did some serious compression on it to get it down to 39MB. The resolution is 720 X 480 in avi format. I've tried several different codecs now with about the same results for each one. The different codecs were: Cinepak Codec by Radius, Intel Indeo Video 5.10, and just for the hell of it I tried a codec listed as "Microsoft Video 1". Again, all of them gave me relatively similar results. I must have picked a bad codec for the 8GB version, but like I said, I'm working on exporting another full quality version with better compression. I am, of course, open to suggestions of how I could get it down to a more reasonable size. Anyone familiar with a horribly outdated adobe premiere program? Cause I've tried all the tricks I know in exporting it and haven't had good results. I even knocked the depth down to 256 colors.

Edit: I'm trying quicktime format now and seeing if any of those codecs will make a difference.

Edit Edit: Now showing 2 people connected and 3 in swarm for the full quality version. Is the 80% quality version not working? Because I STRONGLY reccomend getting that one instead of the 8GB version that people seem to be downloading.

Try a smaller resolution, 360x240 perhaps? This is pretty standard for most web movies. Then you should be able to keep the quality high.

If you have access to it, H.264 is probably the most amazing codec out there for compression/quality.

I was going to save that as a last resort, but I suppose I'm in the position where I should use my last resort now. The thing is, with this video there's really not much point in watching it if you can't see all the tiny things going on in the picture. But, in any case, as soon as it's done exporting my quicktime version of it, should I have similar results I'll lower the res. Although even at 720 x 480, a 4:50 video shouldn't be 8GB.

Heh, on a side note, I feel obligated to inform everyone of this due to all the hub-bub involved in getting it up. It's really nothing special. Just something I threw together in my spare time. In other words, if you're not able to view it, you're not missing much. Just some spliced together shots of border skirmish with music in the background. Don't let the size fool you, that's just my screwed up premiere program.

Could be some people are having firewall trouble. My apartment building has a crazy firewall to save bandwidth, and I probably can't download it because of that. It also prevents me from connecting to the game server (a big reason I don't play now), and I can't even download from FTP. So that could be a problem.

moldy: Try Tomato torrent. It's better than the official BT client (free and easy to use, too!).

+1

You'd better use the most recent version of XviD or x264 available

And 480x360 should be enough

Wouldn't it be better to just upload it to YouTube or Google Video?
