I've seen a lot of news online about this and that major title add what they did at E3. Of course, I didn't really expect Vendetta to get a lot of major press coverage, but I'm still very interested to know how the show went. Any news?

As of Monday, 5/19/03, vendetta.guildsoftware.com will go offline and be replaced by vendetta.sierra.com. OpenGL version development has been put on indefinite hold. Any players who wish to continue participating in the test must sign a nondisclosure agreement to be posted on vendetta.sierra.com by the 16th. Until that date, the Vendetta Engine Test will be suspended.

Well, silence can be a good thing... or a bad thing. But if you think about it, E3 isn't the only place a game developer can look for publishers. There are a lotta publishers that never go to E3.

it wouldnt be a Cube any more, it would be a very blocky 3d Version of the windows Logo, putting along with great difficulty. Proabably would crash the Server. eek.

Hi. E3 went ok, but not great. I had some nice chats with a few publishers. Some of them are interested in our project and following our development, but aren't interested in pursuing a more significant relationship with us, for the moment. My meetings with OEMs (Apple, ATI, Nvidia, Logitech, etc) were much more enjoyable. Everyone was very helpful and supportive, and we have some cool plans in the works with some of them. All the people who saw the game said it looked cool, which at least means they're very polite :). The game wasn't shown to the press at all, so I don't expect that we would appear in anyone's E3 reports.

I have some post-E3 exhaustion going on now, but we're still optimistic and moving forward.

OEMs? Cool plans?
Vendetta with my next Logitech joystick or nVidia video card?
Or Vendetta preloaded on Macs?
