Had an interesting discussion and I wanted to see what the general community played with MOST of the time they flew, so...

Mouselook, Physics. Almost all of the time (around 99.5%).

like myself, i believe there are a vast majority that "flip" between both settings.

flight assist gets turned on and off for pvp-ing

whereas for prospecting bot infested sectors, infiniboost-cruise-control plus mouse-look on for scanning

I mainly use FA for fights, but turn it off occasionally (mostly when I need to back up)

I frequently flip between Physics Mode and Flight Assist in PvP. While botting I usually stick with Flight Assist until I am ready to repair (i.e. switch to Physics Mode to disengage from bots).

I almost always leave mouselook on and physics mode on. I should probably start switching FA on every once in a while during combat. I just haven't gotten around to it but I hear from a lot of people that it helps.

The only time I turn FA on and mouselook off is when I'm trading with a very heavy moth. I find it's much easier to control with those settings.

It's generally good in PvP not to stick with one or the other, but to switch between them as the situation calls for it. Flying with only FA on or only FA off makes you one dimensional. Vary up your tactics and you'll see good results.

I never use flight assist. The last thing I want in a fight is to fly in a strait line.
If you have not mastered strafing, then consider using FA for docking.

I swwitch a lot my FA off/on button is on my scroll wheel button.
I like to dock a behemot in physic mode to get close to the dock then FA on and turbo in it

I fly moths with the keyboard

In my Battlehog I always fly FA with the mouse

No Mouselook
FA on most times, except during certain fights.

flight assist is good to use when you need to change directions fast. point and turn it on.

but for fighting, unless you are chasing someting, it's too much for me.

generaly mouselook off , FA off. Tend to use FA for docking heavy ships and to stop drift when mining .
