the good ol' rag. A set-up I used to like was 3 flare 1 jack + gat. Gat to primary fire, all the rockets to secondary. Fly in full AB, fire the rockets and finish the spinning ship off with the gat when needed.

Rag is very versatile... and it can top proms if you fly it right. The prom may have better maneuverability and armor, but the rag has superior firepower, and as long as you can bring it to bear, you've got the fight in the bag. Star sharp and give the prom space until you're ready to lunge, and then use your rockets smartly. AGT/flare prom pilots like to close fast for a rocket pass as often as they can. Try to outsmart them and fire at the right time to catch them in their rocket dive. Remember: your armor can take two sunflares, and theirs can take three... but you still have an extra L-port, so use it to win.

It is very difficult to separate the skill of the pilot from the merits of the ship. Cunjo is a veteran pilot with extensive combat experience, and his performance with a rag should not be considered a final endorsement of the rag. I have personally faced Cunjo head to head, prom vs. rag, and demonstrated the effectiveness of the prom. The rag is a bundle of firepower, and should never be taken lightly when it is correctly piloted, but that doesn't make it the best ship.

The most impressive ship/pilot combination I have encountered is Ghost's all energy Valk.
