I think everyone sees green from now on...
I love the new version.

I wish I had more time to waste, figuring out how to make my own dialogs. Oh well.
Gah, I just now realized that probably violates the TOS. Oops. :!

What?? please someone tell me this isn't true... it needs to be RED ><

It's red for me now. Used to be green but i think they fixed it.
It's currently green if someone shoots and hits you, but it's still red if you bump into stuff.
It's supposed to be red all the time except when someone is shooting you with a repair gun.

mgl_mouser: Do you get low fps when in fullscreen mode?
When in window mode, the mac desktop takes up some texture memory, but I don't know how much.
Touriaus: Did you toggle on the 'Use Manual Font Scaling'?
stranger: yeah, switching sound drivers in-game crashes the client. That's really low priority. However, it is strange that your fps went down when using the other driver. My guess is that there was something else going on that fixed itself when you reran the client.
RelayeR: I don't understand what you mean by:
"Setting key map:
There is no "chat to group" listing.
Still no way to cancel a setting in case of error except to bind it to nothing through chat interface."
You can press Esc to cancel a bind in the keyboard settings.
You can select the command and press Backspace to clear all binds to that command. When that menu gets redone, it will have a better interface.
I'll add the "Chat to Group' bind info into the F1 help list that you get to from the HUD.
Ghost: what 3d chipset is in your laptop?
Rygel: Thanks for the screenshot, but now if you can make a screenshot of every tab and every sub-tab open (probably like 15-20 screenshots) I can figure out what is making the station menu wider than it should be. You can just email them to me to ray.ratelis@gmail.com (so the images don't fill up my work mailbox)
vitrify: don't worry about those errors in your errors.log file. They are just saying that the i386 mac binaries can't be opened because you're on a ppc mac.

i don't know if this has been said already, but when Corvus bots attack me in B8, they still don't go red on my radar (I haven't tested it with other sectors/factions yet).
Yeah, I messed that up, too.
Still hitting the couldn§t open a window error on DirectX9 driver, although now a test window turns up first, then closes and only thereafter the client dies.

ray: was able to fix my problem by disabling texture compression.

okay I'll try tommorow because now I cannot connect...
and ksnapshot is not working so well anymore, don't know why..
How come it's not possible to take screenshots with F12 when inside the station ?
I can at least tell you that all the screen looks the same with this wider station menu problem, the only one wich looks great is the nav map screen.

Ray, don't worry about it, you answered my questions and know all about the problem with Group Chat... Thanks
Rygel: F12 is handled like all other binds and binds are only processed when you're flying around.
I know all tabs will be too wide, but what I mean is that are there any things that look like if they would be any more narrow the text will clip?

Tested the client with DirectX8.1 as well, runs just fine, loads about 5*faster then the OpenGL and also runs much more smoothly ingame. DirectX9 still dies, see post above for log.
Hitting F5 while out of station will revert chat to the mission tab.
While in station and you have the station chat tab selected, expanding or collapsing the chat area will revert the tab selection to General.
The news selection doesn't go completely to the right side:

Well, I got the 'black sector' phenomenon again. This time it was from Latos to Sedina. I did nothing out of the ordinary. The one thing that helps a ton, is that there was a NPC warthog chasing after me at the time. I got to the wormhole and warped, and the "Speeding through space" frame came up... but it stayed this time... I could still hear my ship, fire, and move around. A couple seconds later, I could hear the gattling turret fire, and it was making the 'thud' sound when it hits something solid. The NPC warthog was actually firing at me, as if I was still in the sector. No damage was being done to my ship, I presume, since I never died. I was unable to get out of this 'mode' until I relogged - which put me in front of the same wormhole I had just gone through.
Also, I'm still getting "todo:blahblah: the container for that add-on is not at your location" when I'm buying a preset ship. I'm getting everything that is in my preset - all the things ARE available at the station, but the message still comes up without fail.
With a number of other related errors, the "todo:" text is still there.
When I'm typing a message from my ship, but I don't finish it before the station loads, the text that I had written is erased. Kind-of annoying... it would be nice if the station chat carried over to ship chat and vice-versa.
When I select a mission, that mission block stays highlighted when I select another mission block - resulting in the highlighting of two separate missions.

"It's supposed to be red all the time except when someone is shooting you with a repair gun."
That's good... because all those bright, high-energy flashes while trying to fight is FUBAR... I can't see what I'm doing - it's blinding!
EDIT: Weird bug btw... or, something. the Vendetta client seems to momentarily rotate my screen perspective 90 degrees counter-clockwise when it starts (i.e., it messes with the monitor rotation control panel, <which technically shouldn't exist on a fixed-orientation monitor laptop, but does anyway... thanks, Intel> so that the start bar is along the right side of the screen, and the screen-top utility and system monitor bar is on the left.)

The wormhole invincibility thing isn't gone, but your screen doesn't flash if you're hit during the animation.

Don't know if this has been address yet,
But,
I was mining in Bractus, when I hit F9 to change camera views, I changed to the view where I could slew around and check out different things.
Q and E, A and D and F along with the Arrow keys worked as advertised, when I pushed either W or S the ship would start moving instead of the camera zooming in and out.

I also get the "todo:blahblah: the container for that add-on is not at your location" that Doukutsu reported (I copied the error text from his post; don't know if that's verbatim). I'm so used to it I forgot to report it...
