We the players *me and everyone else who agress* request humbly that we are provided with screens of in development models such as two other ships rumored to be being worked on by luis, and the scrap yard and relic stuff hes been working on in the past few months.
Unfortunately he needs permission from Incarnate to show anything *DAMN NDA's* So this is the unoffical get Johns attention thread! ^^
Anyway after the silly intro, Incarnate would you mind posting a news update with screens of the in developement models? Those which are ready to be shown at least.
Thanks. Chikira

Sadly, I am unable to complete the request, because although I am somewhat informed of the current developments, I do not have the capability to host the super-secret screenshots, so I will simply have to describe them for you. Please, keep in mind that the employee of Guild Software that has provided me with this information did so under a strict vow of silence as to his identity, and asked to only be identified as Mr. A.
At any rate, the super-secret screenshots I have burning a hole in my hard-drive look like this:
The first of the batch is a .jpg, and takes up most of my small, sexy screen. The edges of the screen are encased in a sexy, beautiful metallic material, which feels to the touch as though it could be either aluminum or some sort of painted plastic. It's smooth, but textured, surface dives under a thin ring of plastic that protects the edge of the screen and emerges again, only to smoothly form the curves that make up the back of the screen. On the back of the screen, the metal forms a hole through which...
I'm sorry, I can't go on. Someone has entered the room, and I do not want to be compromised. I will complete this description some other day my friends! Until then, good bye, and good luck!

I'm with Leebs. I prefer to sit at the table until the finished dish is served to me than to stand like an idiot by the kitchen door drooling at the smells coming from the stoves.
i like smelling...

I most certainly would like to see some screenshots... but I'm with Leebs and Triple J here. It just takes most of the surprise factor out of it when they're put in-game. Don't do it devs! Don't give in!

Geez. Spend time on debugging the client and ships rather than posting eye candy of that which is to come. We have gotten some pretty spiffy teasers already, imho.
most of the work is not going to be visible. its structural and time-lapsed and so forth. so...
what we really want is screens of the programmers linux desktop. what editor do you use? make, autoconf? what compilers? what window manager?
then we can have some real flamewars.

hehe, not gonna bother with a screen shot- it would only be interesting if it included stuff you shouldnt really see:) But the answers to the other questions are: emacs, jam, gcc/msvcc/lua/sbcl, and fluxbox/ion/compiz. Maybe I'll take a screenie of our game spanning two sides of the desktop cube in xgl/compiz next time I'm at that workstation.
