@our devs: I know you have enough work with all the new stuff, but i am not amused to see scripts (or whatever it is) registering player online gametime, specially _my_ onlinetime - can't speak for other players.
Statistic data should imo be an information only available to Guild Software.
I hope this will be fixed in future.

Dunno if it *can* be fixed, Lin. This V-O website keeps track of the online players. By writing a script that checks the "active players" page every 5 min or so, anyone in the world can keep track of who is playing Vendetta and when. Plus, FiReMaGe and Moofed both have "Vendetta Active Player Graphs" which track the number of users online.
Not to mention those BLAK.hive and IRC bots, which keep running logs of everything said ingame on many channels (I think). I think there's a new one called SkyCommand as well.
I'm with you on this, but I don't know how to put the genie back in the bottle, except for requesting that the devs implement "activity" checks on signed-in players (even if they are in-station), and by taking down the active players list.

I'm all for taking down the active players page and making chat inaccessible. As I understand it, it's already not written to errors.log in the new version, so woohoo for good steps.
I know you're trolling, but if you spend more than a few minutes looking at the activity in the #vrelay IRC channel from people talking through the bot, you'd know that there are plenty of people supporting it. :)
Actually, I would support the removal of active players and the removal of chat from errors.log ('cause they're introducing a direct LUA interface, so errors.log is unnecessary except for errors). Active Players is not very in-character, and errors.log is unnecessary. :)
Hmm, im kinda biased, cos I use HIVE myself, and like a few have said, i could get this data myself, as long as the active player page is available.
Woot, I have about 4 hours of uptime this week :D yay for getting a life! (i hope it doesnt last too long, hehehe)

Oh noes! Keep the spying! It's much funnier than roleplaying.
