I used to use swarms alot, not so much any more though. They rarely get a hit at all. Mainly i use them now for Cap ship battles. They are the only weapon that can kill turrets from a distance . And if nessasary they make attackers run from attacking your cap ship.

And I also use swarms alot when I'm trading. I can usually fire them, usually in the wrong direction, and the beeps will distract the enemy chasing me long enough for me to get away.

Also if somone is in a missle rag with swarms i might come back, usually to B8, and use swarms. Rags are so slow and heavy they are one of the only ships that u can get a kill using them..

Swarms still have a purpose in this game. I rarely get a kill using them but they are a great distraction. And with double damage i wiind up killing myself half the time on my own swarms anyway.
