I would strongly encourage all of you who are complaining about the update to take a week off from Vendetta. Don't play the game or visit the wesite. Go read a book (Ender's Game is one nobody should go through life without reading) or learn kung fu or something.

You will be surprised at how your perspective can change once you come back.

Great rec. Phaser! Ender's Game was my favorite book between the ages of 8 and about 16, and still holds a very dear place in my heart. One of the *long* term things I'd like to see in Vendetta is in-station zero-g combat without ships (like the battle-school game from the book, but Vendetta-ized).

My current favorite book, you ask? Vernor Vinge's A Fire Upon the Deep or A Deepness in the Sky.

hey momerath: how about somewhat in-station zero-g combat with ships :) Try fighting someone inside the Sedina D-14 station. It's crazy hard.

Heehee, sounds cool CP, I'll have to try that. Andy was telling me last night about how they had a game of soccer in an asteroid once, with an uncontrolled ship as ball and a couple circular stations he spawned as goals:) Ever since I imagined a massively multiplayer version of Kings Quest 1 at age six, I've wanted to play in a virtual universe complex enough to allow such spontaneous gameplay!

And since we're well and truly off-topic now:) I will hereby lock my first thread!
