What an awesome game Any quest launch planned?
im 44 im old school grew up with elite in all its amiga glory, finally ventured into VR a few months back and was happy to find this title a few days ago.
Looks and plays great for an aging game personally as a PC gamer now converted to quest 3 will there be
any sort of launch to get the players in maybe a new realm ? Agreed it would probably split up a player base however I find players would rather come into something new and fresh rather then deal with already established veterans in top gear.
Im also as An EU time zone gamer finding the events difficult 11pm at night or 0100 in the morning will there be any adjustments in future for people outside america?
I get it you need a player base first and I only found this game by sheer luck hunting through an external website that lists app lab games.
I defiantly think with the right marketing this could be huge on quest 2 and 3 as theres simply no other competitors

i occasionally play VO on my quest 3 and have on my quest 2 also. It is a blast! But, I still differ to my PC. And, you are right, in VR nothing competes with VO. There is still work to be done though to make it flow better in the interface.
i agree issues im finding are :-
Having to manually set keys for closest enemy is a bit fiddly
I haven't set target friendly yet but I would like to see:-
The pointer when you touch both controllers should be able to :-
Click on to friend or foe on the radar i.e navigate to space station or locate it currently it seems
to target a friendly / station asteroid or whatever as an enemy couple that with the auto fire could be an issue?
Seems like credit generation is too easy early on ive already got 100`s thousands after a few quests

This game is old. Like early 2000s old and as such predates the VR systems.
It was originally meant to be a release title for the Quest 2, although it existed as PC and mobile before then. Unfortunately for an undisclosed reason Meta pulled the plug after the devs had put considerable time into the VR port. There are a few threads on this forum that go into it in a little more detail.
I started on mobile then switched to Quest and played like that for about a year before moving to PC.
What limits the game in VR is the lack of buttons on the native controls and yes, the point to target system can be a little finicky. Although I miss it for fighting large groups. Plugins help but in general they have compatability issues displaying in VR.
Dont use autofire, its there for touchscreen users who cant steer, aim and shoot at the same time. You shouldnt have this issue using the quest controls.
Credits are easy made, crystals are also easy made but easier spent. Later in the game when you want to start buying items from other players you will realise that several million credits are pocket change.
Welcome to VO, most of the community are happy to help new players so any questions just pop them in channel 100 ingame. Just be cautious of other players in the same sector as you, theres many a bloodthirsty pilot will kill you for the kicks.
