VR on windows 11 for quest 2
Whenever I try to boot up the game in VR I always get this "failure to create eye texture" error popup. Is there any fix?
As people suggested on Discord, this kind of thing needs to be posted to the Bugs Forum with a great deal of detail. There are so many questions behind "boot up the game in VR" that are relevant, like:
- System OS Platform
- System GPU driver version (if applicable)
- VR headset type
- VR headset firmware version
- VR software version (like PC drivers, from Oculus, if applicable).
So on and so forth. As much detail as possible.
Considering we've supported VR across at least a dozen devices and several major platforms, I cannot begin to help you with your question the way it is currently framed.
(Also, Bugs is where you want to post actual show-stopping runtime Bugs: cases where the game obviously should work, but does not. Don't post cases there which are not officially supported in any way, those kinds of "hacky" projects are actually a better opportunity for seeking community-only support).

So for some unknown reason, my laptop was running VR drivers meant for windows 10 when I should be using drivers for windows 11, I am not sure how Nvidia fucked that up. A fresh reinstall fixed it. Weird.
