In my VR options subcategory it gives me the options for "controller steering" instead of "steer with head tracking". How do I switch it to head tracking mode so that I can fly in first person without a swivel chair? Playing on gear VR with the gear VR controller

So I made some progress that was met with more frustration. When I open the game with my controller not connected it gives me the look to fly options. So when I discovered that, it got me pretty stoked. Then I reconnect my controller to see if I could use it for throttle and everything, and it automatically took over the steering. In the options menu it still says I'm set to look to fly but in reality the VR controller is doing the steering. I'm getting really frustrated and I just don't get it.
