Obvious UI features to be done
Hello everyone! Glad to join you in this great game!
I was playing this game about a year ago on android phone, but found the screen too small to bear and was even thinking of buying an android table to play - so i absolutely happy to have it on my ipad
Just upgraded to full account (reached license cap) and feel like i can give some feedback - as soon as you ported the game to touch screen, you should update UI accordingly
1) i guess you already know, that touch controls are iffy - too much latency when moving the thumb around
2) UI should be customizable - i mean players must have ability to choose their own layout of buttons.
I give you an example:
when fighting even mediocre hive bots - u gotta strafe alot. But while strafing its almost impossible to shoot simultaneously (apart from auto-fire, which depletes batt fast). So if i could, i'd put both triggers on right side (as i use tilt to navigate)..
Some other buttons would be more convenient to press if they would be placed closer to my thumbs as well. Anyway, customizable UI is a common thing on touch-screens, u know
3) multitouch for zoom-in/out
I was reading wiki and found 'zoom +/-' commands - it's great!! Let us use them by native multitouch gesture!!
4) more pre-set options for buttons!
Again - reading wiki - i learned that there are 'rolls' - attack one and a backroll - they sound quite handy, but impossible to perform if u r not on a computer. So the easiest solution - to make all buttons loaded with ALL POSSIBLE presets (any button can be any command player needs the most at the moment) - so, when in hostile sector, we could set one of those for front-roll, another - for back-roll and the third one for targeting or whatever
I understand, that this port is kinda MVP and grateful for the sole fact of porting to iOS, but i guess developers aren't gonna stop fine-tuning.. I also heard that Guild Software devs are listening to their players unlike most others so i really hope u'll polish UI further and make this game as shiny as it deserves to be
Thank u and godspeed..

You can do roll/strafe if you use the on-screen joystick to aim and tilt to roll. It works fairly well and you can dodge fire from most of the weaker bots that way.
Yeah, i tried that, but as i noted - joystic sensibility is far from optimal.. Thanx for the tip though
The "roll" im talking about is the "real roll" - when u press side strafe + forward/back strafe + roll-mapped button (absent in ipad UI)

I've read a post by one of the devs at TouchArcade thread. Seems like you understand the UI issues as well as going to tune it up. Thanx for that. Hope my post will be useful
