Hi I've just brought the ipad version and I'm a Vendetta Online Noob..

I've started this thread so that fellow noobs can ask noob questions..

Here's mine:

If I'm not docked and I'm in space and I log off what happens to my ship? Doesn't disappear or does it just stay there waiting to get blown away by someone?

Your ship will disappear when you log off. The only exception to this is if you are disconnected from the game through other means, in which case your ship will float in space for about a minute or so. This might happen if your device suddenly and unexpectedly powers down, etc.

Is there an interface to change weapon groups? I can only seem to do this via /weapon1 etc commands?

There is an interface to change weapon groups while docked, in Ship -> Manage -> Configure Ship -> Groups.

I guess I might be missing something, I have two small ports and a large port, but only have two fire buttons. When in space what's the best way to select which port maps to which button.

Currently, you have to set up your primary and secondary fire controls in the station. Under Ship->Manage->Groups is where you can set up which weapons fire for primary and secondary controls.

Ray: You may want to take a look at the "wg" weapongroup plugin. It's a small, simple interface that allows players to set their groups in space. http://vo-wiki.com/wiki/Plug-ins#weapon_group_.28wg.29

It might be nice to add something like it in vanilla VO.
