Android Skins Wooooooo!
Alright, So I'm making varients of any skin I can find to make them compatible with mobile. This thread will keep them linked, as well as a link to the skins page on the wiki.
But why mobile varients?
Usually, the old skins are missing parts of the Mobile HUD. Neon Black for example had no fields named right - whereas I might need to design a directional field for Redblood.
The skins I have done, as well as those WIP and Planned are as below. You can also check the skins page on the VO wiki
----DONE----
- Neon Black
Edits - Speed bar now doesn't get covered in a horrible white overlay from missing textures. Also added in/fixed the textures for the turning field. I've put a D-Pad into the Accel. Field otherwise it would look really, really, deformed.
Download Link!
---WIP---
- Redblood
Planned edits - this will need a good amount of content to update it from 2007 to todays UI, but the parts are mostly there. Mostly new graphics, rather than fixing old ones.
-------------
If you have any skins you like but don't work with mobile, Attach them below and I'll have a look.
I don't claim to Own any of these skins, and any request by their original author will be listened to. Meanie.

I fixed that silly white bar over the power bar by simply deleting the associated file.
Great work here btw :)

是的,我不认为他已经在使用皮肤了,但是您可以随时在VO Wiki皮肤页面上下载皮肤(上面的链接)

Hello, does the skin "insurrection" work on Android? I would like to find a skin more "immersive" for hud ....
No ! I just installed it, big problem. Many white areas ...
The problem is that you either a) are using the default flight hud, which needs work to be supported properly, or b) didnt set up config.ini properly.
Assuming the skin was installed properly (if it is, then the PDA should use the skin, even if the flight hud doesnt), If you compare the NBSkin from above with the files from "Insurrection", you will see what is missing and you can copy similar files as those missing ones.
Or you can install DroidButtons, which can remove the default flight hud and is compatible with the skins in design.
For the login screen, instructions to fix the skin is on the download page at vo-wiki.com where you got the skin.
As you might surmise, most skins [if not all] were made before the android version of the game came out, and thus the skin packs are missing files neccesary to work properly. The "fixed" version above actually takes similar files and just copies them, renamed to whatever files are missing.
should you decide to want to go back to the default skin [silver or blue], just open Options>advanced>Interface and select whatever skin in the dropdown menu that isnt currently selected.

Thank you for your response and your exellent work with your videos! The PDA uses the skin, except the small login window that is white (but the text is readable). The problem is for the hud. Instead of the two radars, there are two white squares, and instead of the left joystick, there is also a white square. I also installed Neon skin, and there is an identical problem. Two squares instead of radars, and the connection window, also white .... Can you explain: "a) are using the default flight hud"? (For the login window, renaming the file is ok).
I'm stupid. I forgot that I have the plugin "radarswap". I deleted it, and everything works for the two radars, there are no white squares.
There is however the white square instead of the left joystick ...

Right, that joystick isnt compatible. like I said above, if you download and install the "Droidbuttons" plugin and use it to remove the control interface, you can recreate the interface to your liking with elements that will be compatible with the skin.
For instructions on the use of DroidButtons, i suggest watching my DroidButtons essentials video, which explains the basics of setting it up and removing the old control system.

Yes, I installed the DB plugin. I will see to make a completely personalized interface. Once done, can I save the DB interface if I reinstall VO?
Backing up your plugin settings is pretty easy; just make a copy of the folder called settings in the VO files directory. this doesnt back up VO's settings (which are stored in config.ini and wgaf.cfg for the most part).
To restore these backed-up settings, first launch the game and log in as one of your charecters, then log out and quit. Thats when you copy the settings folder back into the game directory (overwriting anything there).
