need some info
So, im a relativly new player/subscriber, and i was wondering if there were requirements to build a trident? and if so, what are they?
First find the poet Virgil, he will lead you to the river Acheron...
Just kidding. The wiki has some good info on the manufacturing page:
http://vo-wiki.com/wiki/Manufacturing
The cap ship component missions require Combat 5 I believe, which currently necessitates being a full subscriber. If you are still on the fence about that, you could just start gathering Synthetic Silksteel and other useful materials that will fit on a regular Behemoth. Having these on hand will be to your benefit if you ever do decide to go for a Type M at some future date, and if not you can sell them off to other players.
To build some Type M components you will also need access to the conquerable stations, which will likely draw you in to the wonderful world of VO politics.
You see why I mention Virgil...

Lol, im already a full subscriber
Great! So, assuming you have Combat 5, you'll need access to the conquerable stations. There's a mission that tells you where they are (the name of it depends on your nationality and a choice you make within the mission tree). Someone in this thread may also give you the coordinates.
When you arrive there, unless you already have an Access Key you'll find that you will be fired upon by turrets. The best way to defeat these turrets is through teamwork; also be aware that the current owners of the station won't be happy. Once you do defeat the turrets, if you are the first person to dock with the station you will have the option to create an owner key.
If taking the stations by force isn't an option, you may be able to buy your way in or befriend the current owners. On rare occasions someone will give me a key out of the blue (for being an all around cool cat, I guess?), but these "coolocracies" tend to be fleeting. Lasting establishments have historically been grounded in firm politics, which involve choosing sides.
