Android - External microphone?
I have a mad cats mojo and I am trying to set up my headset with vendetta online. It is not a Bluetooth headset, it is a headset with a microphone on the wire but for some reason when I go to vendetta onlines options and click voice chat options and then click on the enable voice chat tick box, it says 'Unable to enable voice chat. Voice Chat Initialization failed.'
Plz help
Thx

Are you able to use the headset in any other applications?
Unfortunately, it's difficult for us to say what's going wrong. But if voice chat works on your device.. ever (without the headset, for instance), then it should work with the headset, unless perhaps your device is doing something unusual for audio recording.
We've definitely tested a number of devices using the simple 3-banded-plug "wired" headsets like you describe, and had them working fine with voice chat.

Just done a bit of research on this headset, and although it does come with a standard 3 pole 3.5mm cable, it actually uses the Hands Free protocol when connected as a headset, just like a BT device.
*3.5mm Connector for Smartphones, Tablets, and Portable Gaming Consoles
The included 3.5mm cable permits connection to any device employing 3.5mm audio output – an effective solution for in-flight entertainment options when traveling by plane. And if you have a smartphone*, you can even take calls using the earcup-integrated microphone.
*Media and call handling are controlled via the Hands Free Profile (HFP), Headset Profile (HSP) and Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). Your Bluetooth host must support these profiles in order for these features to work.
