Except I never saw the ship apart from engine exhaust and turrets. Really hard to dock.

I was able to see the ship can you try again, maybe something got changed in an update?

I too was able to see the ship.

I had the same problem - cap ship was disappearing when I got close. What worked for me was turning down the texture quality. Set textures to low, and the cap ship stayed put. After launching from it I pushed the texture settings back to high.

Haven't gotten close enough to any other cap ships yet to see if it's still an issue after the tute.

Oh weird. I wonder if it's running out of video memory?

It souldent be running out of ram, if I look at it from a certain view it would go poof, when I would move (just slightly) it would pop back into view. It didn't matter what graphics setting I tried.

I found and fixed a rendering bug in update 1.8.261 that may have caused the problem.
