What about cyanogen compatibility?

Feb 06, 2012 szachname link
I have a HTC Desire (basic version) rooted with Cyanogen 7.1. Anyone tried it on this model or/and rom?

I believe the HTC Desire (which is very similar to my HTC Inspire) has hardware that is supported on Vendetta. So from a hardware standpoint the game should run. I can't comment on whether having loaded Cyanogen will have affected it's ability to run the game, but I don't think it should have.

This link will show you the a comparison between two HTC Desire models and the HTC Inspire.

We do not explicitly support custom rom images, just because the variety and potential for problems is too great. But, all things being equal, it should run the game fine, I think? If it doesn't.. tell the Cyanogen people, not us, as it will most likely be due to intentional changes they made in the rom (such as reducing video-ram carveout size to make more general "device" memory at the expense of 3D games.. we've seen that on custom Tegra roms).

The Desire appears to be an original Snapdragon with an Adreno 200 GPU, or about the same as a Nexus One. It should (?) run the game, but it will be slow. The game can be a little chunky on the newer/faster Adreno 205, let alone the 200. But I think it should fundamentally run, as long as the OS is compatible.

VO runs on my Cyanogenmod 7.1 Motorola Droid Mk1, but not very well due to hardware limitations. (slooooow GPU and only 256mb of RAM) It's ok for logging in to chat or moving ships between stations.

Why not install the game and try it?
