PCC membership only remains live as long as you are subscribed. Lapses in subscription require re-applying (it's actually explained in the application process). We intend to add a bit of a "grace period" of a week or so, along with email notifications of subscription lapse, but this hasn't happened yet.. just been too busy with other development.
