can't install on lg optimus 2x
Hi all,
I installed the game on my LG Optimus 2X (french SFR). I run it and it says that there is an update. So i choose to update but it gives this error : A fatal error occurred (M1).
I read i had to update it manually from the marker. But the game is not in my android market. And if i go in website version of market, it says my phone is not supported ....
Has anyone an idea?
Thanks by advance !!

Well, your phone is not currently supported (no phones are, as of yet, the interface is way too small on the screen), and it sounds as though you're trying to sideload an old Market build. For the record, we have only officially distributed our game via the Android Market to date. All the various online places where one can grab an APK are not officially supported, as we haven't yet released the "sideload" APK (which is actually different from the Market version, and much better suited to non-Market updates).
The specific problem you're running into was fixed quite awhile ago, back when we first released. It is trying to update the game and do some Market detection, and failing.
We will be releasing a specific sideload APK in the near future, but I'd like to first customize some detection a bit, to improve the usability on phones, as I know a bunch of people are going to immediately install it on their phone (despite it not being ready for phones yet).
We may get to that this week, or perhaps next week. But when it is available, I'll post a link here.

Ok, thank you for your answer, so i wil check this thread regularly :)
Sorry if I hijack this thread a bit, but I reckon my input fits in here.
Since you state the problem about Tegra 2 smartphone experience is the control cluttered display - the LG2x supports HDMI mirroring which sorts out this particular problem without changes to the Game UI.
I'd be very anxious about trying it out on my LG2x.

HDMI-out improves the display situation, but not the input. Those controls are still insanely small, unless the device is also coupled with a properly configured keyboard or other input system.
Anyway, I'd really like to get some "phone-use" detection code in the sideload APK before we push it out to the public. We'll try to get that done this week. Keep checking back on this thread.

Oh, so it's hard to tap the right controls on that small screen - I get it.
Thanks a lot for the reply, I will be checking this thread.

There is a sideload APK available here:

Very much a "use at your own risk, may not be configured well for phones".

Great! Thanks, will try that right away.
----EDIT----
It works on a LG2X!
Will test more tomorrow.

Cool, glad to hear it. On my Atrix I prefer the full accelerometer control model, which can be enabled in Options. Eventually phones will default to this, but that hasn't been added yet.
