Vendetta Online for Android - Basic Facts
Vendetta Online is available, currently for tablets and phones based on the NVIDIA Tegra and Qualcomm Snapdragon chips, as well as those using the PowerVR SGX graphics processor (TI OMAP4, some Samsung), via the Android Market. It is a free install, and we recommend using the above Market install. 512MB of ram is required, 700+ MB of free internal flash memory space, along with ARMv7 and at least a 1Ghz processor. The game may technically install or run on lower-specification devices, but this is at your own risk, and may have poor gameplay performance.
IF, however, you cannot install the above version from the Market, you can try the sideload installation. This will require having "Unknown Sources" checked in Settings -> Applications ("Allow installation of non-Market apps"). We only make the game available on the Market to devices we're fairly certain will work well. There are a lot of devices which we do not yet formally support, or may never support. The Samsung Galaxy S II, for instance, is currently unsupported as it offers only ETC1 texture compression. If you are absolutely sure you wish to install the sideload game, and try it on your device, at your own risk and without support from us, you may do so with the installation here.
We do not support custom OS/BSP images: If you're using a custom image, from XDA or some such, and the game crashes or does not work properly.. please revert to the latest stock image and test with that before reporting the issue to us. There are simply too many aspects of a custom image that can be broken for us to effectively support them; and yes, the custom image may run other games but not ours (VO is very intensive). If you find the stock image runs the game, and the custom one does not, perhaps contact the custom-image author and inform them (rather than us).
