Multi Monitor Res Problem
I have gone through and looked at alot of posts and have found a few addressing this issue. I have tried all the suggestions from editing the config.ini file directly to making sure my x11 have multiple resolutions in its xorg.conf. None of these have helped I have tried both window and full screen and the game will only span accross both desktops I am unable to get it to go to a specific size I want which would be 800x600 in windowed mode or even just to take up one screen rather then both. Any suggestions? I use the 6629 nvidia drivers with a pcix-6600gt card. The game runs fine span'd across two desktops.
no body up to the challege?
I never saw the appeal of shared multiple desktops. I run independent screens, and everything is much nicer to deal with. Turn off Xinerama and TwinView and everything will be fine. So you can't move windows across screens.. I never need to do that anyways.
Another reason I do that is to have independent virtual desktops on each monitor.
That's my suggestion - not what you're wanting, I'm sure. Unless Vendetta makes Xinerama calls directly, I don't see a way to have both.

Hmm. Yeah, you know... it's really dumb that it tries to find the "closest video mode" when windowmode is flagged.
I'll change the video situation in the next version so you can set it in windowmode at whatever resolution you want by editing the config, and then also make sure standard resolutions are available in windowmode.
If you specify an 800x600 modeline in your X config.. somehow.. then the mode will be available. But I'm not sure if that's even possible when you're spanning multiple monitors...

Ya I have a bunch of modes specificly inserted 1280x1024 all the way down to 640x480 it doesn't seem to pickup on anything except my span size of both screens. I don't get any options with it what so ever. And I need the spaning I use that alot actually so thats not really a good option right now I just shutdown a x session which is a real pain in my arse. Thanks a1kon for taking the time to look at my problem.
FWIW I am also having exactly the same issue. A fix for windowmode would be much appreciated, thanks!
